The Red Star Tribune has consistently under-polled Republicans. They had Mondale beating Coleman by 8 points in their final poll.

I think Obama is toast in MN. He should be +10 points up!

Guys, this is HUGH! I live in the Twin Cities and if anyone is familiar with this poll, it’s always 5-10 points skewed toward the Dem. They gave Kerry a huge lead just a couple of days before the election and Bush lost by only a couple of points.

If this RedStar/Minnesota poll has them tied, Mac might be up.

Minnesota Poll: Obama, McCain are dead even in state (13 point Palin bounce)

I am a little bit in shock. Who would have thought this even possible a week ago?

The state's voters are evenly divided as to whether Palin is qualified to become president, with 43 percent agreeing that she is and 45 percent saying she isn't.

Forty-four percent say Obama is too inexperienced to be an effective president.

So MN residents believe Palin is more qualified that Barry Hussein. This is just delicious. Nice job focusing on Palin's lack of experience guys, keep it up! Boomerang, baby.

The lightworker Soetoro will win every single vote, if not more, as everyone knows. The mainstream media said so.

WOW...in the land Jesse Ventura and Al Franken.

I don’t ever want to feel confident about this election, but, this news sounds pretty good.

Doesn’t it seem like almost all the recent state polls have all contained good news for McCain.

Just imagine when Palin hands Biden’s head to him on a platter during the debate.

MN hasn’t voted Republican since 1972. Even Mondale was able to eke out a ~4,000 vote vitory in his home state in 1984. The only other times after the New Deal that MN has gone Republican were both times Eisenhower ran.

What I find interesting is these mid-west and rust belt polls constantly show either a tie or McCain behind by 3 points.

I think one thing coning into play here is the fact that most people are just starting to pay attention to the election.

We’ve seen all of the damaging information about Barry, and it’s beyond the realm of belief why anybody would vote for this Marxist/Communist/Racist based on the facts.

Barry, you know what, the people of this country are waking up and the chickensssssssssssss, are coming home to roost.

Your veil of lies and deceit is being ignited just like the American flags those terrorists you support burn.

I think we’re tied in Minnesota right now because we just had our convention there. Same thing as to why Colorado is tied, when we should be up in that state. Assuming McCain is 2-3 points ahead of Obama nationwide, I think we should be 2-3 points ahead in Colorado, and they should be 2-3 points ahead in Minnesota.

On the other hand, I can be persuaded that Palin has strengthened our ticket (relative to 2004) in the northern tier of states. She’s has a distinctive, Canadian like accent, and she and her husband love the outdoors when it is cold. It is not unreasonable to think this will animate a lot of people in the northern tier of the country, from Duluth to Spokane, and maybe all the way west to Seattle.

Not quite. McCain has been gaining there since May.
