WASILLA, Alaska -- On Sept. 24, 2001, Mayor Sarah Palin and the City Council held their first meeting after the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. The council condemned the attacks and approved a $5,000 gift to a disaster relief fund. Palin said she would try to obtain materials from both attack sites to include in the town's "Honor Garden."
And then the council and mayor returned to their normal business: approving funds to upgrade the public well, issuing a restaurant permit and taking up a measure forbidding residents from operating bed-and-breakfasts in their homes. After a lively debate, the bed-and-breakfast measure lost, 4 to 1.
Since joining the Republican ticket, Palin has faced questions about whether she is qualified to be vice president or, if necessary, president. In response, the first-term Alaska governor and Sen. John McCain point to the executive qualifications she acquired as Wasilla mayor, a six-year stint from 1996 to 2002 that represents the bulk of her political experience.

Remember how the MSM destroyed Nancy Reagan’s reputation by making her seem cold and heartless, more concerned with the White House China, borrowing designer dresses, consulting astrologers - crap and more crap. Now we know that Nancy was always a supportive spouse as she stood by her husband’s side, concerned with being a helpmate to Ronnie during the stressful White House days and beyond.
Ha.i thought it was PDS//Palin Derangement syndrome.
Have you seen the You tube video...”The Lying King “/
Link on Post 4. Fantastic.
Does that have its own thread? It should.
You can also embed that on blogs, message boards, etc.
You would be hard-pressed to find any business manager or executive who didn’t. If you leave an organization and everybody loves you, you didn’t do the job they paid you to do.
I posted the following in response to the Post’s article:
It may come as a surprise to many of you east-coast intelligencia that there was not a single thing in that article that could possibly support your misleading headline. This is why your readership (and advertising revenue) keep declining. We in “fly-over country” are so tired of being talked down to.
FYI- There are roughly 330 million US Citizens. 37 million of them live in cities with populations over 100,000. The rest of us live in smaller cities. In fact, there are 10,000 cities under 10,000 people. You do the math. Most of us live in places like Wasilla, not NYC.
thanks...
Hey Ex Texas redhead...add this to your marvelous video collection!

Meanwhile, Osama was busy with simply the most difficult legislation he could handle:

Yep. I Like usung PMS better over PDS.
right!
That would be the good ol' boys that she keeps talking about. I saw the show. CNN interviewed the mayor that Sarah defeated -- twice. He all but admitted having a severe case of sour grapes. In response to a direct question that included Sarah's accomplishments as mayor, the defeated mayor could not bring himself to say that he thought she was not a good mayor.
CNN also interviewed Trooper Wooten and his union representative. When asked about allegations of improper conduct, the trooper was defensive, evasive, and not credible. The CNN report further outlined other complaints that had been filed against him. Most important, it does mention Palin's explanation that she fired the head of the state police because he refused to go along with her budget requests.
Some hit piece (although I'm not disputing that CNN intended it in part as such). In fact, I thought it was much more positive than negative.
Like Sunday’s New York Times article-what the WaPo thinks is a hit piece,
is actually a very positive article about Palin.
That is, if you like strong women, with principles,
who like to cut taxes,
reform government,
don’t tolerate waste and corruption and don’t cotton to community organizing metrosexuals with empty resumes.
I imagine the Obama people must all be bald by now
-after tearing their hair out because neither the WaPo nor the NYT could find any dirt on Palin.
And Gibson destroyed his own career, not Palin’s.
I am infinitely more comfortable having Palin in the White House, with the many people who will go on record loving or hating her, than with Obama's near-complete absence of close friends who will identify themselves. To me that's eerie. A presidential candidate who has to hide all his closest associates scares the hell out of me.
The video is great - I love the Islam cresent at the “evil” ending - great touch
Hey MSM hack (not the poster), kindly FOAD.
I think I'm in love...
Too bad Dubya didn't do that when he was elected in 2000. It might have saved him a lot of headaches down the road.
Write the author of this hit piece an uncomplimentary letter as I have.
But this piece shows me how really little ammunition the poor widdle picked on MSM has been given by this mean ole gun-toting moose hunter. And this, after they have been so clever in pointing out that her executive experience consists only of six years as Mayor, and a partially-completed term as Governor (which of course is not even worthy of mention), as compared to all that wonderful governing ability Obama has acquired in running--a campaign.
Apparent a tip from the lawyer dirt line by someone who was asked to actually work for their pay and felt Sarah should have done it for them.
