My advice to Conservatives is not to do interviews unless they are live and the interviewers ears are empty. The liberal editing room will only cut and paste to the disadvantage of the guest. The earpiece is unnecessary for the host. An off screen producer can just as easily wave a hand for a break.

Disarm the hosts and the interviews will look better for the guest who is rooted in unambiguous beliefs.

Conservatives ought to accept interviews on the condition that they are live and earpiece free. Then the media can't use that canard that that their target declined to talk about something with which they wanted to embarrass them.
