Many Freepers might not like this new ad. He tries to reach the independents and the immigrants.

If it wasn’t for the Palin pill, this candidacy would be nearly impossible to swallow.

John McCain, “I believe All immigrants are symbols of hope.”
It’s gonna be amnesty no matter who wins. The candidates will win, the illegal aliens will win, only the American people will lose.

Oh just let it go. We need to cut into Obama’s hispanic numbers. Amnesty is done - McCain knows it. It will be secure the borders. He had the judgment to pick Sarah, he’ll have the judgment to secure the borders.

If McCain keeps this up, I will sit out the election. This is one reason I DO NOT trust McCain.

legal immigrants have contributed a lot to this country in the past and continue to do so. Illegal aliens need to go home and fix their own country or go through the legal process to get here. If McCain is confused between the two (and he is, but so are most of the politicians), then we will have to educate him after he is elected. He did get the message that we want secure borders- I heard him say it and intend to hold him to that. We have had little done on the border issues by any President in a long time, which is why we have the mess we have today. We will just have to demand that all of our politicians make it a priority to fix this mess on the border. Let's get this election out of the way, then hold all the pols feet to the fire on this issue.

McCain picked Palin. That was brilliant and shows where he is taking this country and now you want him under the bus over some softball commercial.

Just typical, bigoted Juan McCain drivel when it comes to immigrants.
No distinction between legal immigrants and illegal aliens.
The bigoted, insulting (to anyone who disagrees with his absurd amnesty fetish) nonsense where he says: “Some view immigrants as objects of fear. Some view them as objects of hope.”
Just pure emotional, pandering drivel that completely ignores the fact that the US takes in more than 1,000,000 legal immigrants each year. But anyone who thinks the laws he helped pass over the years, anyone who thinks those laws should be enforced instead of ignored as he has done for years, well, they just view immigrants as objects of fear.
Ole Juan just can’t realize that his view is so twisted and distorted, that he is the bigot and slur monger by insulting people who think maybe our laws should be taken seriously and enforced.
Never in modern history have we had two such pathetic nominees from the major parties.

This is my sorest point with McCain.
I am the granddaughter of LEGAL immigrants who waited their turn through Ellis Island, kissed the American ground, taught themselves to read and write English, upheld the laws, and taught their children how lucky they were to be here.
To allow ILLEGAL immigrants a pass would be to dishonor everything they stood for.
Although I have very strong reservations with McCain on this issue, as my dad would say, his good outweighs his bad.
And the alternative....

well, that just makes me shudder.

There's nothing wrong with legal immigrants who want to contribute something positive to our society coming to this country. Absolutely nothing wrong.
Kick out the illegals. Embrace the legals.

How McCain thinks this is “right” is beyond me. Where does this come from?
To: paudio
Are these legal or illegal immigrants?
Legal immigrants *are* icons of our country. It’s what made us the great nation that we are.
Illegal immigrants... are a whole different kettle of fish.

He better not run this crap on television in Ohio. It’s not in the bag here.

"Many Freepers might not like this new ad. He tries to reach the independents and the immigrants."Do you understand that "many FReepers" don't have a problem with immigrants? It is "illegal" that seems to rub a few of us kinda raw. It is that little matter of "laws" that have been systematically ignored by our government. Thank you.
