If he can't, maybe he can type if he places the keyboard about 2.5 feet away from him.
Then again maybe he has a tremor like I do. It can be annoying to type sometimes.
Well, it's not because I don't want to learn, but, my friends, when I was a prisoner in Vietnam, my captors broke my arms and hands and it is really very difficult and painful for me to use a keyboard or a mouse. I do apologize for not being computer savvy.
This is John McCain, and I approved of this message.
>>A bigger meltdown than McGovern . . .
From your lips to God’s ears. But, please, let’s not get ahead of ourselves. The national polls are up 2% for McCain, and 0bama still leads in the electoral count. And election day is over 7 weeks away.
Because it’s painful. Forbes Magazine (5/29/00): http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2081279/posts
He can’t type due to injuries to his hands that he suffered as a POW.
What’s next? McCain can’t jump?
Obama admits he uses work time to play on computer!
Devastating. Better than Boston Globe source, more detail.
“When Obama can land a jet on an aircraft carrier in the South China Sea at night- McCain will send him an email of congratulations” silverleaf
BRILLIANT!!!!!
He was tortured by people intent on making the damage permanent. It doesn't take whole lot of effort to simply crush a man's fingers and hands, damage the nerves, and leave him unemployable for life.
There are some other threads that deal with the problem but I think if you just did a Google.com search for " McCain injuries torture " you could find more detail than you can imagine.
Yes. And FDR could slowly walk alone with crutches, but he had better ways to spend his time than walking everywhere.
CEOs and CICs have to prioritize...a day has only 57 24 hours.
If you subtract the 10% special sauce media bias, McCain is ahead by 12%
FRs search is down and has been for days.
Try this experiment:
First, hold your elbows to your side with your forearms parallel to the ground, palms inward. Then, rotate your palms down toward the ground, paying special attention to the strain feelings you will get in your shoulders.
McCain had extansive damage to his shoulders - so much so that he cannot lift his arms above shoulder level. That much damage to the rotator cuff, bones, and joint tissues makes the slight strain you felt excruciating, and can quite possibly prevent the motion all together.
Damage to his hand and forearms may also prevent any ability to guide his fingers to the keys. I have never seen him write using a pen or pencil, but I’d bet he uses a “whole-arm” approach, rather than the classical “finger-tip” control.
If typing were painful or exceedingly difficult, would you be on the net? I probably wouldn’t be - and I’m a computer professional.
If the Globe reported that his injuries made keyboarding impossible in 2000, I’m willing to bet it’s true. McCai may be a maverick and may have received favorable coverage from time to time in the past, but I have never witnessed the media lying for him. And the Boston Globe is a major outlet for the enemedia.
Is that how he concludes that they may be like "an old fish wrapped in a newspaper"?

He couldn't type at all. He used a stick to work with a laptop, but it was mostly pre-prepared material and he just moved it around, or searched through pages.
Most of us on the net have no idea what those without the use of their hands go through to communicate here.
There are even blind people here, but it takes massive effort. For about 9 months after my cataract surgery I had a great deal of trouble writing anything lengthy. It was arduous, and everything was very difficult to read ~ mostly too bright. I wore sunglasses, and learned to adopt with some X250 reading glasses in tandem, both on my nose, but there were these floaters and it took forever to figure out how to toss them aside to catch what a fellow Freeper had posted.
I don't think I got a post out longer than two sentences in that period, and every post took 10 times as long as my long posts took before the surgery.
No, I wasn't blind, but I think I now understand the concept a lot better than before.
Recently diabetes has begun working away at my peripheral nerves ~ have to look at the keyboard sometimes to figure out where my fingers ought to go. At this rate I ought to be all caught up with John McCain in 5 or 6 years.
When that happens and some foul Chicago wardhealer laughs at me I am going to hire a hit!
Well, try looking at it from a different perspective.
The CEO of a successful company doesn’t have be able to do every single job needed to run the company. He needs to know how to get and supervise the capable people the company needs.
Even if he can type with one finger (we don’t know that he can), what is he proving to anyone by doing it? It’s not whether he can type a note and push “send”; it’s whether he can dictate the right note.
Obama can type his own email, but what is the quality of the content he types? Pretty stupid, apparently. And his ability to hire smart people is obviously lacking.
