ignorance of the Bush Doctrine

A term invented by the media, not by the White House. A term covering a multitude of "doctrines," including GWB's worldview. I'm still not convinced that she was "ignorant" of the Bush Doctrine; she simply didn't want to fall in a trap laid by the kindly professor Gibson.

“I’m still not convinced that she was “ignorant” of the Bush Doctrine; she simply didn’t want to fall in a trap laid by the kindly professor Gibson. ‘

Exactly, he asked her an extremely vague question seeking to trap her into a specific answer they would twist anyway they want.

I suppose she would have done better to say "Charlie, as I'm sure you know, the "Bush Doctrine" is an inexact term that reference a lot of different policies of the current President, some of which McCain and I support, and others we do not. Why don't you tell me which part you'd like me to comment on more specifically?

On another answer that is easy to come with a day later, I thought of a cool answer she could have given to the "are you ready to be President on day one. I presume that there is at least one former President who has said "you know, no man is really ready to lead the world's only superpower until they've done it", she could find that quote, and say : You know, Charlie, President X once said that no man is ever really ready to be President until they are already in the office. Of course, "I am no man".
