Even though I’ve followed aviation since I was a small boy, I read something the other day that really brought home how dangerous carrier ops are. It compared a night carrier landing to falling 70 stories toward a small target in the dark, guided only by a small light...and if you miss the target you die.
Let’s see Obama (who couldn’t be bothered to volunteer for a nice safe job like Air Force cook) try that one.
