(Editorial note: one arguably obscene word redacted.)Just to be clear, I am directly accusing Markos Moulitsas of astroturfing for the Obama campaign
As discussed here. If you don't know what astroturfing is, it's defined here.
I figure the process goes something like this:Or at least that's how I'd do it if I were an underhanded sociopath who looks like something that wriggled out of Peter Lorre's a**. (No offense, Mr. Moulitsas.)
- Kos posts the initial meme -- in this case, "Jesus was a community organizer and Pontius Pilate was a governor" -- attributing it to "a reader."
- The astroturfing team blasts that meme across dozens (hundreds?) of blogs, like so, in an attempt to make it look like a spontaneous response to Kos's post.
- Morons fall for it.
In this post-Palin world, that's the way this stuff is done. The accusation is made, and then it's confirmed or refuted. The onus is on Kos to prove me wrong. This is called, in his words, "citizen journalism."
Now I'm just going to sit back and see how it shakes out.
“Kos posts the initial meme — in this case, “Jesus was a community organizer and Pontius Pilate was a governor” — attributing it to “a reader.”
A good comeback to this lame sound bite would be:
“Sorry, but is was Pontius Pilate who voted “Present” like Mr. Obama so cowardly did 130 times during his brief 161 days in the Senate. Obama - I know Jesus, and you are no Jesus”
good post!
Hello, everyone ... now that I have unknowingly clicked in to the DAILY KOOKS, I’m off for a shower... dunno if it’s CONTAGIOUS or NOT!!
