Senator Barack Obama will intensify his assault against Senator John McCain, with new television advertisements and more forceful attacks by the candidate and surrogates beginning Friday morning, as he confronts an invigorated Republican presidential ticket and increasing nervousness in the Democratic ranks...

We’re sensitive to the fluid dynamics of the campaign, but we have a game plan and a strategy,” said Mr. Obama’s campaign manager, David Plouffe. “We’re familiar with this. And I’m sure between now and Nov. 4 there will be another period of hand-wringing and bed-wetting. It comes with the territory.”

Oy, do the Dems really want to portray themselves as bedwetters?

"In addition, advertising themes will be pay equity for women, an issue that has particular resonance as the campaigns battle for female voters"

Do they really want to go there? It's common knowledge that 0bama has fewer women than McCain on his staff and that they make less than their male counterparts.

I hate to say this to Obama but your problem isn’t the severity of your attacks, it is that you keep on shooting yourself in the foot with your sharpened pencil. C’mon I dare you to run an ad attacking the GOP on the McCain campaign’s interpretation, and a lot of other people’s, of your lipstick on a pig speech. I want to hear more about how bitter we are, and how much you will support the rights of terrorist suspects but not the rights of the victim to see their murderer make one last breath. Hell, you can try playing bipartisan with us and put in Stanley Kurtz, SP?, that radio talk show host who your campaign is paranoid about as a terrorist suspect in your ad.

I would also love an ad attacking those who attack Bill Ayers. Tell us Ayer’s history and what he did many many years ago. We still have enough bullets.

C’mon I would love to hear an attack ad about how tedious this campaign season is and....oh wait can I make an ad for you? It will be sharp, and it will attack the McCain campaign also. It is called “19 months” and it is about your whining of being on the campaign trail and how you can’t have any fun anymore. Perhaps if the Republicans forfeit and you win, you can stop your whining.

Actually I support this, GO OBAMA! SHOOT YOURSELF IN THE FOOT AGAIN!!

Well there is very little to do when you keep on backing yourself into a corner. Hell, Obama’s chicken with head cut off campaign is actually more accident prone than W. Coyote. I am actually seriously thinking about going on the bet, that some FReepers have made, that Obama will say something absolutely crazy in the next month or so but it will be off-camera and will have more to do with the Obama in the Dreams of my Father book, than the “Post-Racial” Obama. Any takers when Barack will morph into his spiritual mentor of 20 years?

Lets see, on one hand we have John McCain, who endured five and a half years as a POW.

On the other side we have 0bama, whining about being on the campaign trail and his bedwetting campaign manager.

Who would you want to see in the White House?

Dims always resort to name calling when they run out of empty suit momentum.

I can see it now, the big Zero is going to start calling McCain “Whitie”...

Wahahahahahahahahahahaha

The story ends..

"....Obama had a private lunch on Thursday with someone he battled with for much of the year but who knows how to put the Republicans on the defensive: former President Bill Clinton. Discussion topics, aides said, included how Obama might handle Palin in the days ahead."

What is in it for Clinton? He has to give some lip service for appearance sake but he owes Obama nothing.

Axelrod, still isn’t getting it. He thinks he can just tinker with the Titanic, istead of making major overhauls.

The Plan: “We dems were smart and now they just stole our message.

Wrong. McCain does represent change and reform versus the uber liberal orthodoxy of same ole Dems big government themes with Obama.

Plus you throw in Palin, a fresh face, and more genuine than Obama’s elitism - the American people willnot be fooled here.

McCain them to counter: “When has Obama challenged his Party like I have?”

Oh no, he just had a meeting with Bill Clinton on how to handle a woman? This is gonna backfire bigtime!

I'm wondering why they felt the need for a story like this, to announce that they are about to start attacks. It must be for fundraising purposes. They have to show the moneybags that they NEED money to do such and such.

McCain does not announce before he makes a campaign move. He just does it.

Palin will be pleasant and upbeat and Barry will be snarly and nasty. Yup, that will work, especially with Barry's koolaid drinkers who hate all the “partisan bickering”.

Yep. Articles about panic have been coming in. Need to get their ducks in a row for their one last push and change the perception. Can’t be seen as coming apart now.

Still, we got a storm, and people are going to be watching football this weekend. The last thing on their minds from the political world will probably be Palin... still. heh

Apparently, Obama’s new attack ad points out that McCain can’t use a computer. I suppose young people will get a laugh out of that, but I know plenty of people who don’t know how to use a computer. Most of them are much more intelligent than a lot of people I know who do use computers.

For instance, has being able to use a computer made Arriana Huffington smart? Has it made the people at the Daily Kos smart? I know it hasn’t made anybody at the New York Times or Washington Post any smarter.

Being able to use a computer is not a sign of intelligence.
