I agree. We don’t need to stoop to their level. Making too big a deal out of this makes us look petty. Give them all the rope they need.

No one did. Their level is way way down the road from a simple cartoon. Perhaps you do not know of the vicious hateful nasty gutter talk comments made by the other side against Palin and McCain. Especially Palin.
This is about a clever cartoon that most people are enjoying.

What is petty (being as you brought it up) is a couple of posters complaining about how bad, nasty and vicious this cartoon is.
