Tonight, Sarah Palin sat down with Charlie Gibson for an interview, and ABC showed us Charlies first two segments. The first portion dealt with her readiness for leadership, and the second dealt with foreign policy. Ill let you watch and be the judge, but I think Sarahs ready for her closeup. Others in the blogosphere thought she didnt do well, but seeing as Charlie had his questions prepared, Sarah did not have her answers prepared, and the fact that I do not believe these questions have ever been asked of an other V.P. candidate, Im still pleased with her performance. And in that vein, I agree with her; what other V.P., former-governor, candidates have extensive experience in foreign relations? Shes been running a state, for Gods sake!

I saw the first part. It was by far the most aggressive interrogation of candidate I have ever seen, and she did fine.
Gibson came in with the obvious attitude that Palin is a lightweight god nut who has no business being in the same room with him, let alone the messiah. He was going to eviscerate her. He failed.
I saw him actually curl his lip as Sarah answered one of his questions. What a prick.
If any MSM had an ounce of honest blood in them they would have called Obama out on his inability to speak on the fly a long time ago as well as his rise from no where land. Had they done their job, the people of the USA would not be having to consider the possibility of this dangerous peon so close to the White House.

She squinted her eyes at time, maintaining her cool in the face of a partisan interviewer trying hard to make her stumble.
He tried to make her look like a religious kook with the talk of the war being God’s will for a Holy War. The fact that she was borrowing from Lincoln went right over his head. He tried to probe further and was smacked in the head when she quoted from the Declaration of Independence. Despite the fact that she was very clear that she cannot speak for God’s will, he tries a third time. This time he got real personal about her son, and took her out of context, and once again she stood her ground.
I only caught the last two minutes of the interview, but from what I saw I thought she came off well. I thought that Charlie seemed very unfriendly and looked like he was doing the interview under duress, just rifling off questions. I used to think he was friendlier than what I saw today.
Now having viewed the entire video, I couldn't agree more. She is such a compelling figure. She connects. People will not expect her to be an expert on foreign policy at this point, but will expect her to have a sound overall philosophy and to stay cool under fire. She gets an A+ from me on both accounts. I couldn't be more pleased with her side of this interview, and Gibson with his glasses down his nose talking to her like that just pegged the womens vote meter as if it wasn't already. Shes really got the stuff putting up with that. She comes across as so genuine and real. People are so sick of all those stuffy pretencious fools in DC.
People will put themselves in her chair and imagine themselves squirming from that kind of grilling and feel that she did better than they could have. A total win for us.
It is doubtful that Obambi could have answered the question about Russia and NATO obligations with anywhere near the coherency.
The blogosphere! LOL
Throughout the entire grilling, the only think I could think about was the fact that this mother had just sent her first-born son off to war. I think it had to be very hard for her to concentrate on anything else today. That being said, I think she did well considering the condecending “down his nose” interrogation.
My wife and i saw her, and we aren't even Americans, we thought she was pretty good came across forcefully and that the Interviewer was doing his job.
Other blogs thought that the interviewer was way to soft.....You know what that means...It means she did VERY WELL...

No, she did absolutely fine. She didn't knock anyone's socks off, but that's ok. They've been portraying her as a bimbo, and she dispelled that notion.
What an insufferable ass the man is! He needs a sock in the jaw.
“Governor Palin was brilliant. She put country first, and the things she said reflect an intense intellect.”
Agreed!
She was VERY good tonight -
This was not a grand slam - it was a Stand up triple to lead the bottom of the 9th inning....Now she will bring it home...
She’s incredibly confident. She doesn’t back down. The blogoswhat?
I agree. [BTW, this interview is to air for 3 nights?]
Back to your comment: can you see now the debates? Obama and his uh's and um's and ah's to answers and McCain's answers like at Saddle Back? Or, Sarah Palin's answers to the tough questions to Plugs Biden's same old pat answer of "we're not going to repeat the same old failed policies of the last eight years of the Bush administration" for every question?
Our side is getting the training while their side gets to relax...for now. Remember when Apollo was taking it easy while Rocky trained in the meat locker.
Bush Doctrine? Obama didn’t know how many states were in the US.
