"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
What foreign policy experience does the Muslim Messiah have and why haven’t these slimeball reporters asked him those questions. IMO, Charlie Gibson is a biased schmuck who is showing his true Liberal colors! I’m disgusted by all these slimes.
Joe Biden “wet” himself again. Obama is still rattled.
Yes, overall she did fine. Perhaps Gibson did us a favor.
Palin is only going to get better at foreign affairs fast.
She did VERY well...Strong, confident...straight forward...
good interview. She’s a STAR
Palin answered even the gotcha questions very well. Was there anything except gotcha questions? What an interrogation! Where were the What-wonderful-plans-do-you-have-for-our-country? type questions.
Gibson’s “interrogation” was blatantly SEXIST and condescending. Tee Hee.
Yes he was hostile, condesending and pompous. I lost a great deal of respect for him in that interview. It was obvious to me, he was setting traps on every question.
I have never, ever heard any such question put to Obama much less a vice president candidate.
What trash. Look for hype from the libs, look for misquoting, look for mocking.
Yet - I liked her - no matter how many traps were set in place.
I’m not sure if these were posted yet.... youtube videos of the interview.

PALIN: You know, I don't know if that was my exact quote.
GIBSON: Exact words.
PALIN: But the reference there is a repeat of Abraham Lincoln's words when he said — first, he suggested never presume to know what God's will is, and I would never presume to know God's will or to speak God's words.
The video was edited on the west coast.
It went directly from
GIBSON: You said recently, in your old church
(insert video of Palin at church, including the phrase “Pray that..”)

Obviously Charlie was caught and Palin was right in saying that it was not an exact quote.

I liked what I saw. I loved how Charlie tried to lecture Palin like as if he were some college professor and she was the head cheerleader or something. She stood (or should I say sat) firm and gave strong answers. A great job by Sarah to not give into the YES OR NO that Charlie was demanding. I could not help but notice the rather heavy editing by ABC. I gather there is some controversy about something Palin said in her church a year or so ago about “God being on our side”. Sarah explains that she was referring an Abe Lincoln quote where he says we should not is God on our side but rather are we on God’s side. Of course Ronald Reagan also said something similar to this in one of his State Of The Union speeches when he was president.
I just watched the video at the link. She did fine, and the splicing is obvious. There’s just one time I thought her response lacked something: when Gibson was trying to get her to step into it about invading Pakistan. She repeatedly said we should keep all options on the table, but should have added that it isn’t necessary or prudent to “invade” an ally, if you want to keep your ally.
If that’s the worst of it, she gets an A.
She did very well. I loved it when he asked if she agreed with the “Bush Doctrine”. She slapped him down and MADE him define just exactly what it was he was asking. He didn’t know what to say when she made him define what he meant. Later he must have figured it out and asked a specific question.
Her statement about possibly going to war with Russia IF they invaded Georgia and Ukraine and IF they were members of NATO was absolutely correct. In fact, it is the only correct answer since that is the whole, entire purpose of NATO. It’s a mutually supportive military alliance and providing aid—including engaging in hostilities—is required by all members of NATO. Charlie thought he did a gotcha, but all it showed was how poorly researched his own questions were.
To be fair to Sarah; there's no way she could have NOT answered. The presstitutes were/are waiting to skewer her on anything.
I think though, much to their chagrin, she handled herself quite well.
Charlie (the so-called gentleman reporter was an arrogant, condescending prick the way he was looking down his nose like he's the school master and she's just some little girl.
For her first time out, in this national forum, she did fine. And I expect she'll be even better each and every time from now on. She's quick, intelligent and tough.
And I cannot believe how articulate she is. I don't think I heard one stammer or umm, or anything of that nature.
Sarah's got game!
