Sept. 11, 2008
The following excerpts are from the ABC News exclusive interview with Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin in Fairbanks, Alaska, conducted by "World News" anchor Charlie Gibson on September 11, 2008
Sarah Palin on Experience:
GIBSON: Governor, let me start by asking you a question that I asked John McCain about you, and it is really the central question. Can you look the country in the eye and say "I have the experience and I have the ability to be not just vice president, but perhaps president of the United States of America?"
PALIN: I do, Charlie, and on January 20, when John McCain and I are sworn in, if we are so privileged to be elected to serve this country, will be ready. I'm ready.
GIBSON: And you didn't say to yourself, "Am I experienced enough? Am I ready? Do I know enough about international affairs? Do I -- will I feel comfortable enough on the national stage to do this?"
PALIN: I didn't hesitate, no.
GIBSON: Didn't that take some hubris?
PALIN: I -- I answered him yes because I have the confidence in that readiness and knowing that you can't blink, you have to be wired in a way of being so committed to the mission, the mission that we're on, reform of this country and victory in the war, you can't blink.
So I didn't blink then even when asked to run as his running mate.

And the sidebar too...
They start right out by truncating a quote from her to give a totally misleading impression.
The MSM hasn’t gotten it yet. Americans are onto them.
As they try more and more dirty tricks, they are going to make her fireproof. If something bad WERE to come out, I don’t think people would even believe it.
When the heck did this thing air?
When the heck did this thing air?
After reading the interview, she didn’t repeat answers...he just asked the same damn questions 3 times! How many times are you going to re-word the Israel question, Charlie? Jerk
Gibson’s tone was condescending, like most liberals, while he was trying his best to ambush her with gotcha questions. Unfortunately for him and the Democratic ill-wishers behind him, she parried his attacks brilliantly and gave well crafted answers. She was confident and her intelligence and political skills came through splendidly.
I just posted a polite request to ABC that they have the raw feed available online.
The interview was not only edited, it was edited in a very rough, chopped up way.
Clearly there were entire phrases left out.
If we bombard them with requests, I bet we get the whole thing.
Tonite: on World News and Nightline.
Tomorrow: Good Morning America, World News, then an hour on 20/20
Thanks!
I dont watch any of those shows though L0L

Welcome to FR.
You will be pleased to know that I have already sent a nasty e-mail to All Barak Conspirators news noting that pus sack Gibson misquoted the Governor to change the entire meaning of her statement.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
The left will read into her answers what they want, come up with some real stretches and idiotic comments that will just add to the adoration of this women with America. Keep up the good journalism, your helping to dig the hole that you will eventually push Obama in.
We keep calling this an interview when to me it seemed more like a interrogation. I did not object to the questioning except for Gipson’s harping about a so called holy war. To me he came across as a condescending, hostile and pompous ass. Exactly what you would expect for the MSM. I am very proud of Governor Palin. She did an excellent job and refused to be intimidated. As some guy said in another post....”eyes of steel.”
I agree. Gibson was hostile. He would never interview Obama in such a manner. It was more an interrogation than an interview.
Charles Gibson has always been a Democratic shill.
That’s why I don’t watch him.
