I still can’t believe they trotted out those worn out BS leftist talking points about poor recruiting. Plus minorities and the poor being hit hardest.

Actually, Woodruff was asking McCain if he thought it was fair that “few children of privledge” serve in the military, a frequent complaint of the left. This she asks of a Prez ticket whose two candidates BOTH have sons in the military. McCain took the hanging curve ball and smacked it back at her, suggesting that if they want more “children of privledge” in the military, they should allow ROTC back on campus. Way to go, Mac!

“Bravo...good slam against colleges prohibiting ROTC.”
Yes, but I wish he’d rebutted that tale about the poor & black as being over-represented in the military. That’s been de-bunked often!

To his credit, McCain just did come out against “mandatory volunteerism” or forced national service.

McCain is rejecting government run national service.... lets not have Government do things the private sector can and does do.
To: Hillarys Gate Cult
I’m not hearing good things about Americorps.
The camera goes off Mr. Time Magazine so he can put his glasses on - he takes them off when he’s on camera.
I would like to see Mr. Time Magazine in Juneau on the back of Todd Palin’s snow machine.

To his credit, McCain just did come out against mandatory volunteerism or forced national service.I know he never would but, in his calm voice, say "we're not a communist nation."
