Katha Pollit has been a sorry sad bitter little communist for a long time.
I'm having trouble deciding if her fury at Sarah Palin is more amusing, or more pathetic. However, if I was her doctor, I'd definitely increase her medication.

It takes chutzpah for a mother to thrust her pregnant teen into the world's harshest spotlight Mom didn't do that, Katha. The Drive-By Media did. And you know it.

I’ve been reading “National Review” for more than 20 years. How did I miss that?

Just because Costco sells Red Bull by the case, it doesn’t mean you have to drink the whole thing at one sitting.

What these people fail to notice when discussing Bristol Palin’s pregnancy is that evangelical Christians have been enthusiastically supporting Crisis Pregnancy Centers for the past 25 years. They have dealt with the issue of teen pregnancy before, and are fully prepared to give compassion and love to a young woman who is pregnant, whether she is married or not.
It is like they expect us to show up with pitchforks and torches. Where have they been for the last quarter century?

Fowler/Sibelius/Pollit for lesbian triumvirate to run our country! Is it a he-woman or a she-male, you decide.

I got through the first two sentences.
If that is the case, then Democrats nominated someone even more unqualified. If you have a problem with that, you’re a brain dead liberal.

What does all this mean to feminism? It means that your flimflam game is over. The covers have been pulled back wizard, we all now know it was just a smokescreen to protect your sacrament of abortion. Feminism is dead or seriously wounded in the least.

It’s because governor Palin is a full fledged renaisnce Woman, and Polit will never even mature into *any* kind of woman. She’ll always be a 13 yr old perverted, baby killing, party (line) clique slut.

Feminist author Camille Paglia described Pollitt as a "whiny troll, an unscrupulous and unreliable critic and a cultural philistine...She's a good example of the phony prep-school/trust-fund leftism suffusing the incestuously interwined Ivy League cliques who run the corrupt East Coast literary and magazine establishment."[4]
From here.
