Fast-forward to modern day England...
Men like the Right Honourable J. Enoch Powell were well aware of what would come, but few would listen. Earlier Brits of note, like C.S. Lewis and G.K. Chesterton, understood the threat of Islam. Uncontrolled mass migration in context of a rising Islamic horde from former colonies--go figure. ;)
There is no England anymore. By and large, they appear to be content with the prospect of living in Dhimmitude, so long as there enough creature comforts, social services, and porn are available. Sounds familiar.

Depending on who you're watching, you might get a shootout after all! ;)
I'm an unabashed Crimson Tide and LSU fan. Yes, I understand the conflict.

I feel that I should expand my comment with a how or two -- not just what to do to win the war defending against Islamist radicals.
What to do about known oil-rich supporters of Islamist radicals' war against us?
The answer is just plain dumb luck. The tragic accident of TWA 800 is an example of horrible bad luck.
But during W.W.II the center fuel tank exploded in the plane carrying Japanese Admiral Yamamoto (1943). That was good luck for our forces and America.
I doubt that the fleet of widebodies used regularly by oil-rich supporters of Islamist radicals is immune to such tragic accidents. So if we keep our fingers crossed. . . .

Linked on Savage's website (he also talked about it during the show):
Terror attacks were an act of war, not simply a tragedy to be mourned
Here's an excerpt (one of the best parts of the article):
There is a disturbing phenomenon creeping into the public debate about all things 9/11. Increasingly, Sept. 11 is compared to hurricanes, bridge collapses and other mechanical disasters or criminal acts that result in loss of life, with "body count" being the primary factor that keeps it in the top spot of "worst in the nation's history."
Misremembering is as dangerous as forgetting. If we must know one thing, it is that the Sept. 11 attacks were neither a natural disaster, nor the unfortunate result of human error. 9/11 wasn't the catastrophic equivalent of a 3,000-car pileup.
The attacks were not a random act of violence or insanity. They were a deliberate and brutal act of war committed by religious fanatics engaged in Islamic jihad against the United States, all non-Muslim people and any Muslim who wishes to live in a secular society. Worse, the people who perpetrated the attacks have explicitly told us that they are not done.
Amen! Couldn't have said it better myself.

Great job with the thread tonight Tarkus2040. Thanks for the compliment, SWB. On a final note, here's hoping our pal Liberty 2007 and his fellow soldiers are doing well and out of harm's way. This of course goes for all our brave men and women in every branch of our armed forces. HOOAH!

"Have you ever noticed that when Savage is right as rain, that checkers and lomand are nowhere to be seen?" Am I supposed to take that at face value? What did Weiner say that I am supposed to agree with? Is the assumption that I disagree with everything Weiner says?
