What’s all that religious stuff doing in a political document? Do you suppose that some here might just propose abolishing it for its endorsement of religion in the form of creationism?
I mean, here it is actually promoting the Judeo-Christian God. Isn’t that the same as establishing a state religion?
Isn’t that the same as establishing a (shudder) theocracy? God is mentioned, you know.
/Liberal-dude mode.
To give you some idea just how this lunacy has progressed by these “progressives” over the years, as I’m certain you already know: I can remember these culture war debates when it began to get bad about 8-10 years ago.
It was pointed out by me that if this lunacy continues eventually they’ll be demanding crosses be pulled out of Arlington Nat’l cemetery and they’ll demand taxpayers, chisel out the 10 commandments on buildings like the Supreme Court.
We thought that would be like the end of the road, worst case scenario.
Since then, Michael Newdow’s charade with his own daughter has occured ALL THE WAY TO THE SCOTUS, Mt Soledad has occured and dozens if not hundreds of ridiculous instances of this Christian-America-hate run amok have occured.
School calendars under attack, town logos...it’s a real culture crisis.
Luckily since then I guess Americans have wisened up to some degree with many books and of course the various Christian legal services.
But 8-10 years ago it’s incredible to see this grow.
Sad as can be for this country.
IIRC, Newdow's daughter didn't have any objection to religious exposure any more that Madeline Murray O'Hare's. In both cases, they were pawns used by their parents to promote the parents atheistic God hating agenda.
Pretty despicable of the parents to USE their children like that, isn't it.
The perpetually offended. sheesh.
