I'm glad...they never did locate my stockbroker's remains. He left his wife, 2 sons and a daughter (all under 7). :-( Another friend was going to be on the flight 11 to sign a hockey contract with the LA Kings. He told the scout he'll fly out later.
He never did play NHL hockey.

That must have been frightening for you.
I have a friend who lost a son-in-law at WTC. S-i-l worked at Cantor, had been married less than a year. My friend’s daughter has now remarried, but she’s had a very, very difficult time dealing with this.

Two of the scouts, Mark Bavis and Garret ("Ace") Bailey, were on one of the planes that crashed into the towers. The Kings made a special commemorative patch that all of the players wore on their jerseys for the 2001-2002 season.
