If John McCain and Sarah Palin were to say the moon was made of green cheese, we can be certain that Barack Obama and Joe Biden would pounce on it, and point out it's actually made of rock. And you just know the headline in the paper the next day would read: "CANDIDATES CLASH ON LUNAR LANDSCAPE."
Why doesn't somebody call Neil Armstrong? He's been there. Or go to the Smithsonian and open the glass case that contains a piece of the moon. The moon is a rock. That's a fact, Jack.
Facts are indeed stubborn things, but the McCain-Palin lies are more stubborn still.
In the face of demonstrable, provable, incontrovertible evidence to the contrary, McCain and Palin continue to assert that Gov. Palin opposed the infamous "Bridge to Nowhere."
Perhaps her supporters, noting Palin's support for banning books, teaching creationism and doubting global warming will argue that for her, calling the bridge "progress" was her way of saying she was against it.) But the Anchorage Daily News forecloses that option, reporting, "In September, 2006, Palin showed up in Ketchikan on her gubernatorial campaign and said the bridge was essential for the town's prosperity."
The real debate is over whether the media will be vigilant watchdogs, sounding the alarm when McCain and Palin lie, or fall back to the role they've played for most of McCain's career: lapdog.

Your Alaskan democratic party also agreed that she opposed it.
Maybe she was luke warmly for it while campaigning, but Sarah, when she was in a position to review the matter more closely opposed it. I believe her legislature and the Alaskan people agreed with her.
So what is your point?
Oh look. Forehead piped up.
Paul Begala
I stopped reading when I saw his name.
(From SNL)
Chris Matthews: Blah, blah, blah, you’re done! You’re boring and you look like a fetus!
Hey, Paul. Your two good ole boys, Obama and Biden voted for the Bridge to Nowhere.

Hey take it easy on Paulie, he is just doing his job. Out there being a butt boy for obama......
The real debate is over whether the media will be vigilant watchdogs, sounding the alarm when McCain and Palin lie
Well paul if their nauseating action as lapdogs and not watchdogs when it comes to obama is any indication I would say that no matter what McCain says inlcuding looking at his watch and giving the time will be challenged by the DNC controlled lapdog media.
I’ll help the Dems out on this one.
Show us a picture of the bridge.
Plaster the pic of the bridge on bumper stickers and signs.
Make a commercial with a crane shot pulling away from this monument to waste such is the ‘Bridge to Nowhere’.
There is no bridge, you say?
Alright, just show some malnourished looking child from the island that would have benifitted from the convenience of a bridge had the Gov. built what congress wanted them to build.
Paul Begala, one of the biggest liars in US political history. Lies about Paula Jones, lies about Kathleen Willey and lies defending the serial molester himself.
Oh no, not this little Clintonian ass-wipe again.
Me, too.
Paul, tell us more about Palin’s book banning and teaching creationism.
I clicked on this before noting that the Forehead is on display.
