South Carolina Democratic chairwoman Carol Fowler sharply attacked Sarah Palin today, saying John McCain had chosen a running mate " whose primary qualification seems to be that she hasn’t had an abortion.”
Palin is an opponent of abortion rights and gave birth to her fifth child, Trig, earlier this year after finding out during her pregnancy that the baby had Down syndrome.
Fowler told my colleague Alex Burns in an interview that the selection of an opponent of abortion rights would not boost McCain among many women.
“Among Democratic women and even among independent women, I don’t think it helped him,” she said.
Told of McCain's boost in the new ABC/Washington Post among white women following the Palin pick, Fowler said: "Just anecdotally, I believe that those white women are Republican women anyway."

What a condescending statement. The liberal media is tying themselves in knots trying to figure out how to deal when identity politics works against them.

Is that why hilary didn’t win the dims primary, because she never had an abortion? These people celebrate killing innocent babies, defend terrorists and murderers.

Brings to mind a line my husband used a lot--"I haven't had this much fun since the pigs ate my baby sister". I never did understand that line or why he liked it. But right now I sure am having fun!

I tried to call them. They stopped answering the phone. Poor little babies are going to have a swampload of non so nice voice mails to wade through.
Our Local newspaper, The Red Star, had a letter from a Liberal woman. It said: “How can Sarah Palin be pro-life when she kills beautiful creatures like Moose and caribou?” This is how Liberals think. Polar bears are more important than people. Sad.

The ones to try to justify it are far more tormented than the ones who realize how wrong they were, and grieve.
I feel for the former, and always just listen when they go into the justification/self-defense talk. I know that they are trying so hard to keep the “what-if” demons at bay.
They know I didn’t make that “justifiable convenient choice”. So, I just don’t say anything, and by not saying anything, I say everything, if you understand the complex intricacies of “woman-talk”.
The ones who truly regret usually just sob over their loss, and wish they could go back and have a do-over. They tell me about their dreams, which do not end. Again, I just listen.
