Thank you, thank you; a long time ago, it seems, Safire had a column where he began by defining paralipsis and the word slipped my mind as time passed.

Try as I might it would not come down nor could I find it through a careful search of the millions of boxes within boxes that I have created and stored such junk in my head.

When harddrives first came out I was struck by the similarity to what I have naturally done since the age of four, but some of the boxes have a few dog-eared corners now and others are covered over with the dust of disuse.

And just because Gov. Palin didn't run to the nearest ER immediately (it's been reported she was in close contact with her OB--that's 'baby doctor' for those of you in Rio Linda) it wouldn't have made an ounce of difference--he had Down's at conception. D'oh.

Why is it any of this feeb’s business what or how or when she did anything about her pregnancy? I bet there were a lot of “irregularities” about his birth, particularly the species of bottomfeeder his parents are.

“Rushing” is defined by the urgency of the rush, I think. She got to her doc within a dozen hours, half of the time she could reasonably have taken. If she had been hemorrhaging, I expect she would have seen someone nearer to where she was when her water broke. She was rushing to her doctor, but in a reasoned and reasonably manner.

I bet the Dems hate it that she wasn't running about in a muck-sweat panic.
