Earlier Obama said that McCain had no honor.

And yet it is Obama and the leftists who love to be nasty and go for the jugular.

The press will try to hide Obama’s intent in those words. But privately, they are loving this! They thought it was a terrific line when he first said it.

And then, the nation reacted.

Let’s see what they do next. Do they continue to apologize for him? Do they admit that his words were unfortunate and at the same time say it was just a slip of the tongue?

They want to allow him to have plausible deniability.

What they don’t realize is that this comment will not be buried by anything profound Obama has to say, because there is nothing profound about him.

Tomorrow he should know what the definition of honor is, when he tries to apologize in a half-assed way to Palin. He’ll want to say this is over, and he’ll try to rise above it.

What he has forgotten is that in the past thirteen days, he has not acted presidential. And it is building up.

A presidential candidate does not call a lady a pig and get away with it. He just lost 18 million votes. The PUMAS are out for blood.

This is a gaffe with a capital G (and a capital AFFE).

And it is going absolutely viral.

On the surface, it's really stupid, but look at the “gotcha” politics the Dems play. Trent Lott, Imus, and others have been the victims of the PC speech police. They are being gored with their own ax.

Every word and nuance a Republican does is subject to the screaming media. It's them that are the pigs. This is another brilliant reaction by the McCain campaign.

At this hour, AOL commie news reports that Palin is hiding from the press, “sticking to the script,” and this may lead to a backlash by voters. Talk about Ocommie talking points.

I hadn’t thought of the Pumas. How are things going over on the Hillary forum?

I would have to say that it is a bit of a stretch to say that Obama was calling Sarah Palin a pig.

The lipstick line followed with a line about "old fish" wrapped in paper - don't change - "still stink" - obviously referring to McCain - it's very obvious...as obvious at when he gave Hillary the finger in national TV - his audience then 'got it' also.

This is a gutter snipe - and when let out on his own, he reverts

Did it really take them a week to come up with this? At least if they’d said it Wednesday night, it would have sounded kind of snappy. Not to mention they’ve had time now to notice these kinds of attacks on Sarah’s femininity aren’t exactly winning them any points with the middle. How lame. I hope historians point back to this as the moment he lost the election.

If you pulled that “funny” on me, IF I survived, you would wish you hadn’t.

Food allergies include some meats for some folks, of whom I am one with a serious problem with the pig. I won’t even go into Judaic law, or respect for the preferences of others.

Agreed, you have to pick your spots. I wasn’t too worried, though — one of the times involved some food judges at the Missouri State Fair in 2003, who presumably don’t suffer from allergies or religious prohibitions (and, just btw, have the taste buds of a clam in many cases).

“I despise Obama as much as anyone, but I would have to say that it is a bit of a stretch to say that Obama was calling Sarah Palin a pig.”

-I think you are wrong on this. Even if Obama didn’t initially use the reference directed at Palin, he knew after the first phrase by the audience reaction...where they were going. If you have seen him interact with his crowds, he’s pretty on top of their comments and reaction. Letting them ‘go there’ as it were, without clarifying, stopping them or disclaiming either shows a real lack of perception, lack of judgement or a down right sinister sadistic streak. It’s the equivalent of setting a series of actions in motion that he must have known would create harm or injury. That is first year law school Torts class.

Go back to Brian Daley in Torts 101. A Tort occurs because you must have known that your actions or words would cause insult or injury to another party. If he’s smart enough to make law review, he certainly knew after the first phrase and the audience’s reaction, where it was going and he went anyway. That makes him guilty.

I trust so. And more than a few lady elk hunters as well, I hope.

Obama is lousy when he doesn’t have a script. He does not think well on is feet, which is why he will not do well in the debates.

Obama is not nearly as smart as some people think.
