No, he was obviously talking about Washington politics. This is a common phrase, and I doubt this controversy is going to go anywhere.

You are right, but he is just so stupid to use this phrase right now.

Sorry, “a bit of a stretch” is what lethal political gaffes are all about.

As in “macaca.”

Once the video link of the “Magic Negro” using the “Pig” reference is available - it should be sent to every Email account in every American’s address book....

This will drive a stake up his arrogant, white woman insulting, racist misogynist ass.

This time - Obama has let his Alligator mouth overload his Hummingbird ass.
This gaff will leave a permanent mark.....

It is just childish. How old is he? 8?

Giving the finger to Hillary is childish.

Mimicking McCain’s arm movements as a joke is childish - there is a post on Hannity’s forums with video.

Obama was talking about Palin at time of the comment, it cannot mean anything else.

Ok, Obama sounded childish and un-Presidential, but come on. He did not call her a pig. He is using a well-known expression. Yes he could have picked a better one, but to say that he called Sarah Palin a pig is a bit of a stretch.

Exactly.

Sometimes people parse waaaaaay to much.

This guy is a street punk...

bingo

Just as he gave Hillary and all of us the digit during one of his speeches in the primary, he knew here exactly what he was doing.

The 0 just can't pass up the opportunity to go low. It is where he lives.

>>>but come on. He did not call her a pig

Oh, give me a break. Are you kidding? Of course O’Bambi did not say: “Sarah Palin is a pig.” Even the dems’ first affirmative action candidate for President is not THAT stupid. (Oh, well, almost nearly not that stupid)

But what O’Bambi said was clearly meant as a reference to Palin’s Hockey Mom/Pit Bull joke... morphing the Hockey Mom with lipstick (Palin), into the Pig in lipstick.

O’Bambi needs to be thrased sooooooo soundly in this election, that he won’t even run for re-election in the Senate.

“No, he was obviously talking about Washington politics.”

You’re joking right? I agree it’s a relatively common phrase, but obviously he chose it to refer to Palin because of her Pitbull lipstick joke. It doesn’t matter what he meant anyway, most of the public will interpret it as a slam on Palin.

He will apologize “if anyone was offended” and use that lame “common phrase” excuse. Luckily the public not as dumb as Obama.

Plus it has already gone somewhere...the news, Drudge and the GOP demanding an apology.

I cut him slack on the “Muslim faith” comment because I do believe that was a slip of the tongue. But this lipstick comment was a prepared comment and he knew what he was doing.

Kleone, nobody is asking you to “buy” anything. Perception is key and the perception is that your boy Obama called Palin a pig. Deal with it.

How do you think the libs and media would react if McCain said “The Obama campaign is SPOOKED by the new poll results!”

I disagree cherry, not yet anyway, they are trying to get a reaction out of Sarah that will make her look less Presidential, now is the time for surrogates to really raise some noise.

Axelrod is trying to make Sarah P look like a typical bickering politico, not the Vice President, when the time comes, the boom will be dropped on them.
