Even people in the UK have noticed how much Obama resembles Adlai... now if they'd only notice just how much McCain resembles Eisenhower, one of the greatest Presidents no one talks about (but they should)...

Timely, Ike was well before my time of course, and the background information is really helpful.

If we get out the vote, we will win. There’s going to be a lot of voter fraud on the other side.

"I like Ike" was the most popular American political slogan of the 1950s. This was before Reagan. Americans perceived Adlai Stevenson to be an egghead elitist liberal hack from Chicago and his reward was to be buried in back to back landslides for the GOP ticket.

Yup.
Obama reminds me even more of Dukakis, not least of which because I was not alive for the Stevenson runs.
His dispassionate answers when asked about when life begins and especially when his “faith” is deemed just a show are amazingly lifeless. I could never just shrug off an allegation that my profession of Christian beliefs is not sincer.

If McCain wins 40 states, do you think the Dems will still argue McCain/Palin stole the election?
To: ikeonic
The difference is that Stevenson, although a pol through and through, really was intellectual. Obama pretends to be an intellectual.

” running against a military hero at the time of an unpopular war.”
Comparing Korea to Iraq is a joke. We are losing more Americans in Newark than we are losing in Iraq.

...a celebrated orator and an intellectual running against a military hero... Isn't it amazing how the Liberal-Democrat-Socialist-Communists are always celebrated orators and intellectuals while their Conservative-Republican opponents are plodding, pedestrian, morons who somehow accidentally win?!
Quite simply, Dwight Eisenhower was a genius of enormous capability who dwarfed Adlai Stevenson. That a similar situation is occurring now between McCain and Obama is a testament to the Left's capacity for self-delusion and its MSM allies' ability to deceive the public through propaganda.

Im not entirely sure that “I Like Ike” is the best political slogan to invoke at this time . . .

The democrats have had great success registering new voters. This means the dead, non citizen and felon voting block will be larger than in the past.

If McCain/Palin wins 40 states, you will see the Democrats not pick another Northern Liberal in 2012.
It will cause the Democrats to run a Southern Governor who can compete in the South like Carter and Clinton. The DEM centrists will throw out Howard Dean, ignore Hillary, and look to moderates like Mark Warner, or Phil Bredsen.
