Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has taken a more aggressive line of attack this week.
He has repeatedly hit his rivals for being dishonest about their portrayal of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palins (R) record of reform.
Theyre not telling the truth, Obama said during an interview on MSNBCs Countdown Monday night.
I think weve all gotten accustomed to being able to spin things in politics. But when youve got somebody who was for a project being presented as being against it, then that, you know, stretches the bounds of spin into new areas, the Illinois Democrat added. There is just a sense that theyre making these assertions that ignore the facts of their campaigns and their past history. And I think people should be troubled by that.
Obamas comments during the interview mirror those made during campaign stops Monday, as well as the message of a new television ad accusing Republican nominee John McCain and Palin of lying about their records and being anything but the mavericks they portray themselves to be.

So, in other words they’re lying about what they’re saying about themselves. Therefore, by inference they’re not lying about him.
Might want to re-think that line of reasoning.
