"Palin's stances read as though they were lifted from Reagan's 1980 "no pale pastels" platform. And this is what this media firestorm is all about."

Well, well, well. First article by Pat Buchanan that I have agreed with—every word—in at least ten years.
How about that? “Sarah Palin, bringing us together again.” Or maybe that should be: “Nasty Media Smears and PDS (Palin Derangement Syndrome), bringing us together again.”
Thanks, Pat. Have a good day.

Buchanan is a compelling writer and for once I agree completely with him.

LOL. I was thinking along the same lines. When Pat is wrong, he’s really wrong. When he’s right, he’s dead on. One thing is for sure with him, you never have to read between the lines to know what he’s saying. I get a kick out of him.

"Because she is one of us"Brigader is outed. Go Pat Go. Republicans are even talking cultural revolution again, opposing illegal immigration, bringing jobs to Main Street, getting bin Laden dead or alive. Pat is always ahead of the curve. The Republican Party is becoming Conservative again. Happy Days are Here Again. Well maybe. There is still a lot of Kristols and Giulianis around.

I heard somewhere that Buchanan is supporting Obama. Is that true?

A couple of weeks ago, we were cutting wood. It's a weekly "thing" here at the farm. We cut with a friend who also heats with wood and "tag team" the job between him and me and my two sons. Anyway, we went to a spot and were busy cutting and loading and me and one of the young men heard, "*pop*, *pop*, *pop*..." We turned and my buddy was leaned over shooting something very close to the ground with his little .22 Barretta semi-auto pistol. So of course we jogged over to him to see what he was shooting. It was a decent sized Copper Head snake. The snake was about two feet long. But anyway, a dead viper is a good viper, so one of the young men carried it carefully over to a stump and draped it over where it was plainly visible. Then we went back to cutting. About 15 minutes later, we heard the same, "*pop*, *pop*..." only to see our friend shooting something else, in nearly the same place as the first snake! We trotted over and sure enough, there was a SECOND Copper Head! It was the same size as the first. One of the young men carried it carefully over to the first and then the same young man stood to one side with a Mossberg 500 shotgun while we rolled the remaining logs out of the way looking for any more of these vile creatures that might be lurking around. We didn't find any.
As we were loading up to finish, we let the lady of the house know that we killed two Copper Heads just on the edge of the yard (they have small children!) and we decided to just take the snakes with us. One of my sons went to the stump and threw the snakes toward the back of the truck about 40 feet away. I picked one up by the tail, and even with three .22 holes in its head it did its best to rear up toward my hand to bite me. I dropped it and put a .45 ACP hole in its head. Then I cut the heads off of BOTH of those snakes.
Even after cutting the heads off, they're STILL dangerous. I tell you this story, because right now, at this juncture in time, the leftists in America are like these snakes. They're fatally wounded with respect to the elections of 2008, but they're also still very dangerous. Those in our camp need to be wary and aware of this. Anybody who's ever been bitten AFTER cutting a snake's head off will attest to this! The dims have lost this one. But they'll wriggle and do their best to spew venom and do damage like a dying snake....which everybody knows, "doesn't die until sundown".
Pass it on gentlemen. This is a message for sheepdogs, both sanctioned, and unsanctioned alike. We're going to be dealing with a lot of dying snakes soon.

"I heard somewhere that Buchanan is supporting Obama. Is that true?"Nah. You probably got that from some Buchanan smear poster who call Pat a Nazi or a terrorist supporter too. Pat never supports Democrats.

Barack was a Saul Alinsky social worker who rustled up food stamps. Sarah Palin kills her own food. Møøseburgers, anyone?

Great analogy...
Indeed the dying viper is more dangerous than the one hiding under the log...
I seem to recall the term 'eternal vigilance' from somewhere 8^}

BWAH! That's just plain wrong! ...ha! ...ha!...ha. :-)

You said that right! Copper Head snakes blend in VERY well too! They're very difficult to see in leaves! Getting snake bit would have really ruined the "mood" for wood cutting!
