You completely misrepresented Obama's position as it's stated in the article.
No. I know what Obama was trying to say. But words have powerful subconcious associations, and the way Obama presented his argument was completely self-destructive. He was seeking to make an intellectual point, but what comes through to the voter is: Mohammed, Barack, terrorist, Barack, bomb-thrower, Mohammed.
These are subconscious associations the Obama campaign has been trying to avoid for the entire campaign because they know they're damaging. They successfully squelched Obama's connection to terrorist William Ayers, they got the media to ignore the resignation of their Muslim outreach campaign aide who had terrorist connections, they are constantly accusing the McCain campaign of bringing up Obama's Muslim connections, and now in two days we have the "my Muslim faith" gaffe and now this!
It's sweet that you feel the need to carry water for the Obama campaign -- I don't know if it's white guilt or what -- but you're acting like one of the scumbag liberals from DU/Kos and your insinuations and attacks have no place on this site.
