DENVER -- Victims' family members, police officers and several Republican lawmakers are wondering why an illegal immigrant who has had at least 16 arrests in the past five years was never deported, and ultimately allowed to be behind the wheel of a vehicle involved in a recent deadly hit-and-run.
Police said Francis Hernandez, 23, was driving without a license when he ran a red light last Thursday and triggered a chain reaction crash that killed 3-year-old Marten Kudlis; Patricia Guntharp, 49; and Debra Serecky, 51. Marten was sitting by the window inside an ice cream shop and best friends Guntharp and Serecky were driving to get frozen custard when Hernandez rammed into the friends' pickup truck forcing it into the Baskin Robbins, police said. All three died within minutes.
Immigration officials said Monday it appears that Hernandez was born outside the country and has no proof he entered the country legally. Hernandez has listed California, Mexico and Guatemala as his places of birth in previous arrests.

Yes, I have written my local Marxists (Boxer, Feinstein, Arnold, Barbara Lee, etc.) and have gotten long-winded prepackaged replies that “comprehensive immigration reform” and “re-uniting families” are the goals.
The only way to fix this is to VOTE them out...
If McCain and Obama think they can avoid this issue, my, they have another think coming.
This case is almost as bad as the terrible tragedy in the Bay area earlier this year. The rat politicians have blood on their hands for this tragedy. This punk got into a brawl with a police officer in July and tried to flee arrest. Unbelievably, there was immigration check at that time even though he had given many false identifications on past arrests. I am not sure he was even put in jail for resisting arrest. I suppose he is just another undocumented criminal doing the crimes that Americans will not perform.
Mexico will look good to Americans if Obama is elected. He wants to spend more on a civilian corps than the military and send $800 billion MORE to third-world dictators...

I am beginning to think that there are a lot of people around here that support McCain only because he is pro-life (although his stance on embryonic stem cell research is still sketchy).
Could this be the case? Nothing else matters. Turning the Country over to hordes of illegal immigrants is just hunky dory.

The Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae bailout this past weekend (supported by both McCain and Obama) is an act of Socialism: the losses were socialized to all the taxpayers.
Don't delude yourself.: McCain is a Big Government freak too.
This issue needs to be addressed and soon by these candidates.
I suggest McCain get tough. He saw how people reacted to Hillary when she supported Spitzer in his licenses for illegals debacle. It hurt her.
McCain best be addressing it or it will be used to club him with in the next 60 days.
Look to see it come up in a debate, and yes, we know where Obama stands, but he isn’t planning on too many GOP votes.
Many people out there aren’t up to snuff and have no good idea where McCain stands because they weren’t paying attention and it has literally been ignored so far.
Trouble ahead. Time to face it head on.
However, at this point immigration does not matter as far as voting goes. Obama would finish wrecking the country and be pro illegal, too.

You send a check but put on it in the notes section that it can only be cashed if McCain/Palin CLEARLY deliver a series of speeches denouncing any future/further amnesty and support of a rapid construction of the border fence.
Or, you send them NOTHING (people already foolishly opened their wallets here last week) in D.C. and with an enclosed note tell them they get no more money for this unless they resurrect and address and make borders a key issue in the campaign.
What FOOLS.
