In a year from now most people wont even remember his name.
Thos who do not learn from the lessons of history are doomed to repeat that history.
So, democrats better remember Obama and all that he stood for. Ultra-liberal candidates for the presidency tend not to do too well with the American electorate. George McGovern and Mondale didn't fare too well in 1972 and n 1984. And, though he got elected once, Jimmy Carter is now known as the worst president in the history of the U.S.
But, I don't mind if the democrats don't remember their mistakes. The American people are better off with their mistakes being voted into forgettable history.

I agree. The only reason Clinton won the presidency is because he fooled voters into believing he was a “good old boy” Conservative “New” Democrat.

(Obama is the Democrats guy. They bought the ticket, now they must take the ride.)

Jimmy Carter only got himself elected by falsely posing as a moderate and a reformer, IIRC.
He kinda ran against Washington insiders and then proved to be ineffectual and increasingly left-wing, paving the way for the great triumph of Ronald Reagan in 1980.

If it wasn’t for Nixon, I don’t think that Jimmy Carter would have won imho..

(If Obama can't handle a town hall debate, then he can't handle the job of being President.)
