It was crazy dead calm Saturday and Sunday up here. Barely a breeze. I got the first day out since the shoulder replacement and I was hurting. Lots of bait on all the bars but the current never picked up late morning and early PM on the alleged falling tide. We got a few under slot snook and a handful of 9 inch mangroves. We saw a lot of big fish but with no current they were lock jaw. Still nice to be on the water and make sure the boat still ran!!
Oh, and every cast on white bait and threadies brought up buckets of balyhoo. Odd. I have seen one or two in a cast but never half the catch.
What area are you talkng has to be Gulf side.
