This is a site that accumulates polling results. They are showing a Gallup poll of likely voter, covering a time period of 9/5-7. It shows McCain with a 10 point lead. 54% vs 44%.
Can anyone verify this? Have they gotten a hold of the poll early and updated their site before they were supposed to?
The only thing I can find on USA-Today is a Gallup poll of registered voters that shows McCain 50% and Obama 44%.

It doesn't say anything about likely voters.
Can anyone confirm this site's data. I'm trying not to get too excited, but 10 points! It's hard not to.
While it is great to see the swings in the polls let us not get complacent. Obama still has big, maybe insurmountable leads in states with high number of electoral votes.
McCain is leading in a lot of states with few electoral votes, I’m not going to be more confident until I see positive polling in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Florida and even Virginia and the Carolinas.
Obama doesn’t need to when alot of states to win, just the right ones. right now the west coast from Washington down through California is blue and so is the majority of the east coast from Maine through South Carolina. Not to mention the rust belt.
Lets keep pushing folks, get the message out there!!
If the trend continues, Biden will be kicked to the curb and replaced with Hillary.
A few days ago it was 49 O to 41 Mac, now it's 54 Mac to 45 O -> a significant tie *snort* Yeah, he ought to go back to doing infomercials on slavery and the evil we do as a nation in the name of doing good ~ it took 1 1/2 years, but I think they're really starting to resonate /s
And now Biden is going to debate Palin ~ I think I might have a house party for that one, or wander down the street until I find one ;~)
Actually they said "race war" if Hussein loses, and all I could think was that there would be race war if he won -- BHO would have his "get even with whitey" chance.
Good point!
She could go with Jindal. Blacks are not the only “minority” group in dis here country!
He would be excellent as well, and with more recent experience as governor of Louisiana (a successful one, at that) he'd be tough to argue against.
