Not surprised. I mean, he did say McCain hasn’t talked about his Muslim faith. In his book he said he would stand with the Muslims if the political winds shifted. He is also quoted as saying the Friday calls to prayer is the most beautiful sound. Nope, not surprised at all.

I always thought there was no “October Surprise” type stuff to get on Obama because I figured if there was anything really untoward out there Hillary would have found and used it. Now I’m starting to think we might have some Halloween fun after all.

Obama probably didn’t recall that November 1st is celebrated throughout Christianity as All Saints Day, and has been for at least a thousand years. The day before is called Hallowe’en’ because Hallow means holy, so Hallowe’en’ means the eve of all hallows. There are enough people in Illinois who would know this to insure that trying to rename a major Christian holy day as Islamic Day would be a non-starter. Now maybe if he had proposed to call October 31, known in the ghettos as devil day, as Islamic Day it could have been sold— although the pumpkin farmers downstate might not have liked it.
