This morning the Dow futures are up about 280, reportedly in reaction to the federal government taking over Fannie and Freddie. But I wonder if some of the enthusiasm may be based on more favorable polls for McCain-Palin. In other words, we may not be subjected to more socialism inflicted by Obama and the Democrat - controlled Congress.
I found this while snooping around on the PUMA web site.
This is also something we need to watch closely.

Carefully.
Check Rasmussen over the next few days. If he reflects what’s happening with Gallup and Zogby, then it’s real. If he doesn’t, then someone’s playing with numbers.
Also, the real proof will be state-by-state. There are many who realize that the national poll doesn’t tell what’s happening in a state, but they point out that the state’s will reflect the national consensus over time, IF the national polls have truly been randomly drawn.
If this is true, we should see McCain take the Electoral College lead. He was down only 10 and if VA, NV, and CO went his way, he would be leading.
Let’s see what happens.
This makes the debates loom enormous. If Obama comes back at McCain now agreeing to townhall type debates, then it means that Obama’s internals are saying the same thing as these polls. If you’re down, you have to take risks and get more exposure.
His going on with O’Reilly suggests that his internal polling was not looking good.
Folks....as already mentioned...this is great news...but just as Obama is dealing with this news, McCain could be dealing with the same at the end of October, early November...poll numbers also go down. We’re in a two to three week honeymoon with Palin...she will come down to earth as she displays a few flaws here and there...says a few gaffs here and there...It will take heavy and strategic campaigning efforts for McCain’s team to maintain enough of a lead to win the elections. I believe it will be close like it was during the past two elections. The demographics of our population is constantly changing..unfortunately to the democrat’s side. I will patiently wait for the polls to give me a truer idea, a week before the election.

Agree 100%.
This is why Obama’s campaign is in a tailspin. They knew right after the convention that they lost major ground.
This is also why the media has changed its tune in the last few days. It will still be a fight and I really believe it will get ugly before it is over.
Oy, yes, of course, Pete Olsen. I must have been nodding off when I typed that.
New MSM/Lib desperation: Palin may have cheated in the beauty contest in 1984.
Let’s not forget that Bush BEAT Gore in ALL 3 debates... and he beat Kerry in the town hall debate. Not bad...
It’s quite plausible that most of the people McCain picked up were previously undecided.
Also, 48-45 is the 3-day tracking poll, which contains older data. Look for McCain to gain a few more points on that one.

I was thinking the new T.R.
(Not wishing what happened to McKinley on McCain.)
I have always liked Kid Rock, and never could pinpoint why...maybe that’s it...
It was intentional.
"All Summer Long" is the title of a song recorded by Kid Rock. It was released in 2008 as the third single from his ninth studio album Rock N Roll Jesus. The song uses samples of Warren Zevon's "Werewolves of London" and Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama". The song is an up-tempo southern rocker in which Ritchie reminisces on his teenage romance during the summer of 1989 in northern Michigan, while listening to "Sweet Home Alabama".
I do my part every day with my secret DailyKos account. Posing as a true believer, I post anything I can find to undermine their enthusiasm for the Obamessiah. I urge every FReeper to do the same.
Thank you for the sacrifice, I think I'll give it a try. Could you recommend an effective nausea medication?
