Wrote to Drudge and asked that he please offer a headline that could be understood.
It doesn’t make any sense, “front expose” what?
What the hell are they doing?
Also her SISTER ALSO HAS A DOWN'S CHILD who is now 13. She mentioned this during her interview and I remember wondering if it was a genetic predisposition.
“SEC. 1177. (a) OFFENSE.—A person who knowingly and in violation of this part—
“(1) uses or causes to be used a unique health identifier;
“(2) obtains individually identifiable health information relating to an individual; or
“(3) discloses individually identifiable health information to another person,
shall be punished as provided in subsection (b).
“(b) PENALTIES.—A person described in subsection (a) shall—
“(1) be fined not more than $50,000, imprisoned not more than 1 year, or both;
“(2) if the offense is committed under false pretenses, be fined not more than $100,000, imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both; and
“(3) if the offense is committed with intent to sell, transfer, or use individually identifiable health information for commercial advantage, personal gain, or malicious harm, be fined not more than $250,000, imprisoned not more than 10 years, or both.”
There isn't an exception for the press or the fact that someone gave you the info. Not only that the NY Times would be publishing the info for commercial advantage, personal gain and depending on if it could be proved in a court of law malicious harm.
If it isn't based on actual health record info you'd have to have something far more than “he said she said” to go with a story. Oh, wait, we are talking about the NY Times who ran the story about McCain having an affair that was so well sourced and documented.

My guess is they have found someone who claims that Sarah Palin inquired about an abortion of the baby. Assuming that it was true who ever gave the story to the NY Slime would have broken a number of federal laws notably HIPAA. Interesting thing about the law. Here is the criminal part:

Two hundred and twenty five comments and counting.
On a two line teaser.
I’m guessing that it’s not ..
1. It’s not Todd’s baby.
2. It’s not a downs syndrome baby.
.. because the headline would be huge. It’s got to be something minor.
Sarah Palin is shaking the Democratic leftist-liberal house to its foundation, and tearing it down. She and her family and their faith, values, and story represent the absolute refutation of all the tired old liberal mantras and victimology that they malignantly use to mentally, pshycologically, and financially enslave whole classes of people.
From women's rights, to family values, to gun rights, to abortion, to energy policy, to taxation, to envrionmentalism, and on and on...she is the wrecking ball that is destroying the leftist, liberal, socialist house.
I’m against abortion, but the New York Times editor’s mothers should have done everyone a favor and smothered them in their cribs.
These old format newspapers can still be used to pattern shotguns... I don’t know of any other meaningful use for them. Nobody wraps fish in newspapers any more and toilet paper is cheap enough.
Drudge is a piece of sheite who would love nothing better than to have a larry sinlare moment with Obummmer. He’s a mouthpiece for obama why pay him any mind. If he does put something up it will be slanderous of Palin, GOD Im getting sick of this stupid shit.
Rove you magnificant bastard, this plan of yours against the NYT is pure genius!
How DID you get them to do this?
You are all wrong. It is a standard tactic of Drudge to get clicks to his website. By doing a developing story which is outrageous, the people offended by it or encouraged by it will click on his web page to read it. There are over 300 messages on this thread now. Multiple that by 10 clicks per person to see if the story has changed and you can get some idea of how successful the tactic is.
I would bet there will be no front page story on the NYT about the baby. Rather it will be on the collapse of Freddie and Fannie.
OK, on the baby, the story appears to have been knocked down by one of Palin’s own enemies from Alaska. I still don’t know what the hell this is about. The e-mail is genuine and speaks to the baby. The woman obviously dislikes Palin and admits to as much since 1996. Obviously there are issues between the two.

Having said this, there is something that could be a problem and I’m trying to run it down. That pertains to the librarian business. But the NYT is not doing that story. ??????
Nothing says “Kick us in the rubies!” like going after a child as part of a political campaign.
