Conservatives will have to hold his feet to the fire from Day 1 next January. He cannot be trusted on many issues we care about.
I don’t trust him with anything. He has lied more extensively than any other candidate. His incredible lies about Romney during the primaries were, IMHO, out of a crazed jealousy. I have doubts about his mental state.
When you cut taxes and there is a war going on spending should be cut. I think Michael Savage has a good point, he thinks Bush should make Iraq help pay for the war by giving us oil. It seems only fair. They should help pay for the war since they have benefited by getting rid of Saddam and also having a Democracy. Plus, it seems that Bush likes to do all kinds of really expensive social spending, like sending Billions to Africa for Aids. Plus another expenditure he just did a few days ago that was also in the billions. People are going to pay for it, it hurts the middle class a lot more then it hurts the rich.
“If Pres Bush would have used his clout on energy instead of programs like NCLB maybe we would have had an energy policy.”
I agree with you completely about that. I thought Bush should have done something to help out with the Electricity crises in California. Last summer I had an $800 electric bill for one month! Do I live in a mansion? NO! I think Bush had his priorities all messed up as far as certain things go. What happened in California was a crises. I don’t think there was any excuse for Bush to not get involved. It’s ok to get involved in extraordinary circumstances. I think he should have acted like a conservative and kept the Federal Government out of NCLB.

I agree. McCain IMO is simply getting his last pound of flesh at Bush’s expense too. That has been his MO for the last eight years, even if Bush wasn’t off base, as if John were always on base.
I know.
I like the new tone that Palin’s bringing to DC!
You are right, it looks like McCain and Palin have a really good chance of being elected. Palin is making a difference because she represents those who seem to have been neglected by the GOP, the voters they were taking for granted. I like the new tone that Palin will bring to DC as well.
