Each of the Presidential candidates and those who support them are fighting for the soul of America. Each has a radically different world view; each inhabits a radically different culture. They listen to different music, watch different movies, read different media. Each mainly socializes only with others who are like themselves. They do not talk to those with whom they disagree and when they do, it is often with anger and contempt.

IMO, Civil War is already here. If you want proof, watch the reprehensible antics of the drive-by media and their Liberal cohorts. Their hatred and loathing of Republicans is palpable. Their words and deeds towards us is vile while they fight for the rights of terrorists. What more proof would anyone want? They seek the destruction of America as we know it and they seek to have power over us and our children and grandchildren’s lives and futures. Watch the antics of the human waste outside the GOP convention if you want proof of what you’re fighting against.
Liberals thrive on hate. Without hate they are empty vessels of despair. It must be genetic.

Please. The majority doesn’t care about this Red and Blue stuff. It serves the power elite well that they can keep the media, and thus the people, focused on meaningless social and culture fringe crap while they further their agenda from both sides of the political aisle, but that’s about it.

If the media would accurately report what Bush does and how well he has led, the Bush "hatred" would not exist. The country is full of mindless pawns who can't explain their beliefs.

I have to say that I couldn’t care less if all the people living in the inner cities burn their ghettos down.
Absolutely. This is what I was thinking this morning. The left has had years of practice of smearing and destroying conservatives - Bork, Clarence Thomas, Newt Gingrich, Ken Starr, even G.W. Bush, who has only some conservative features. Nevertheless, the idea that the best way to respond politically is to destroy the conservative has become the primary method that the left deals with their opponents.
They’re doing it to Sarah Palin, too.
When they lose this election, though, that urge to destroy will finally expand to include most of the American people. Those who voted for McCain and Palin will be painted as racist, corrupt, and venal. The same kind of smears we see against Palin and Thomas will be expanded to include everyone who isn’t on the left. We have a hint of this with the Rev. Wright screaming “God damn America” and the friendship of Bill Ayers and Barack Obama.
You become what you do and say. The left has been destroying people as individuals for a long time. Now that they’ve had their practice, they’ll strike out at the rest of us when they lose.
In fact, they will probably strike out if they win, too, although that would be more subtle, in the form of regulations and laws and taxes. If they lose, though, expect to see the same kind of mayhem we saw in the last part of the 19th century, with assassinations, murder, bombing, and destruction - also done by people on the left.
There are storm clouds on the horizon, and they’ve been there for some time. The only positive thing is that a battle between the cities and the people in the countryside is often won by the people in the countryside. The bad news is that the left is a vicious and resolute adversary, willing to kill millions for political advantage. Whether or not we have that kind of living hell is something no one can predict.
I keep hoping that the coming battle will be like the Glorious Revolution in the 1660s of England - a war between competing elites. We have Limbaugh - they have Keith Olberman. They have Obama - we have Palin. The end result of the Glorious Revolution was a flowering of individual rights and representative government as seen in the formation of the United States. (Of course, the Irish see it a little differently.)
We’ll see. I hope that everything I’ve written here is wrong.

It could become a shooting war if the socialists got power and tried to move to quickly to impose their will. I think they know that, and so they do it one step at a time. Disarming us is a big part of that. Taking over the military with Weasley Clarke types is also important--they can't have the fear of a coup hanging over their heads. When the people are defenseless and no longer fiercely independent in their thinking, then the transformation will be complete.
Real war could come, most likely from the right when the left makes conservatism illegal and completely abandons the pretense of constitutional rights. If the right can succeed in winning back the country, there is little the left can do to fight back--they don't have guns, and they don't have people in the military. They will instead retreat to their universities and their bureaucracies and their media outlets, simmering and plotting and working to undermine the country until the day when they can take over.
Leftism, like Islam, is a viral infection. It cannot be reasoned with, it can only be defeated. The way to stamp out leftism is with education, strong families, faith and pride in America and its traditions, customs, history and culture. Winning over the people, returning to our roots, needs to be our focus. I for one do not want to ever see a real civil war. I can't imagine shooting at the idiots from San Francisco, just laughing at them and their antics. From the hatred I see on the other side, though, I can imagine their glee if they ever got the chance to round up conservatives and Christians.
Having lived on both sides of the fench, I have reached the unmistakable conclusion that right wingers are far more tolerant of left wingers than the left is of the right.
True, right wingers speak derisively of left-wing policies and positions, but left wingers actively hate and despise right-wing views and the people who hold them.
The last part of the prophecy (urban legend) is that while the liberals are busy 'changing' America into their own personal version of Utopia, we are nuked by Russia. Apparently, Russia doesn't think much of the liberal agenda of forfeiting our presence and creating a power-vaccuum in the middle east.
The legend states that liberals create chaos and Russia wants to stop the anarchy before it infects the entire world and the Russians bomb the blue city-states and selected interior blue areas just to stop the misery of liberal insanity.
We are all held accountable by the future. They blame us for not doing more to stop the liberal takeover....
The writer admits he is sick with a fever while writing - hope it is temporary insanity. Such talk is futile.
Besides.....in a “civil war” how is the left going to fight? We conservatives have most of the firearms and the support of the military.
So far it’s just a culture war.
