This brings to mind one of Willie’s quotes: “Always tell the truth unless it’s politically expedient to do otherwise.”
I don't think Willie is trying to be honest. Nobody in politics can tell a lie and make it seem like the truth better than Willie Brown. There is a different motive here. A lot of Black leaders have been neglected with the ascension and coronation of Obama. The press doesn't seek them out any more and fawn over every word they utter. The old-time Black Democrats resent Obama for taking all the glory.
Just wait until Obama looses the election. It's going to look like a turf fight in the 'hood on a Saturday night.
