I’m one of those you’re referring to, and I disagree with you.

If you lose your reputation, how can you win an election?

The Swift Boat Vets turned the election against John Kerry in 2004 because they had and maintained stellar reputations, and because they didn’t fall into the trap of following silly gaffes and rumors. They stuck to the facts, fact they proved convincingly, and they turned the tide in that election.

I agree with this.

Can anyone think of another major candidate this flawed? Keep it simple and remember it’s about middle America and the swing voters.
