God bless them both.
This kid will have to grown up really fast. I don’t envy him. But I do believe he can handle the pressure. Plus, I’m sure the families and the campaign are supporting him strongly behind the scenes.

Frankly, I was really impressed at the way this 17 yr old kid handled himself in this situation, particularly since he has also been villified and ridiculed all over the country and the Internet. He looked strong and collected at the RNC. He has the makings of a good, tough man. They make a cute couple and I hope all goes well for them.

I’ve seen nothing to indicate that he can “handle the pressure.” He strikes me as an all too typical doofus with no prospects and no future. I frankly wonder if this marriage would have taken place if not for Gov Palin’s nomination. I know that if it was my daughter, this kid would have two strikes against him in my eyes, and I’d be just as happy to see him out of her and the baby’s life.
Did this kid even graduate from high school? Apparently he has no interest in furthering his education. How is he going to support his family? Or will he get some deadhead job in DC?
I suspect that they’ll have a secret service agent riding close herd on him to keep him from doing anything stupid or embarassing, a quiet divorce will take place at some point in the not too distant future, and he’ll fade into obscurity.
I know this goes against the grain, and I’ll probably get intensely flamed. I like Gov Palin, but this kid just rubs me the wrong way, and I’m not going to give him a pass just for politics sake.
I think if they say they are "in love" what other choice than to prove it and get married and raise your child....
I am sure Gov Palin and her husband were not too keen about all this, but they are doing the right thing by supporting the kids..
I, along with most Amercans wish them well. Of course the RATS and MSM are not included.

This kid is 18,At 18 I grew up over night and had lead buzzing over my head.I grew up fast and so will Livi.He has the support of strong people not liberal whimps.He will do just fine.
I just hope they really love each other.Here is an encouraging sign.
