And, she's doing the 'rope-a-dope' on the leftwing media!
WOW!!
For the first time in my adult life I agree with Willie Brown.
“Call him Willie - Smokehouse Brown!”
Knockout scores the knockout!!
This is the most honest piece of writing from an “inside the machine” Democrat that I’ve seen in quite some time.
Not long ago, Willie was gloating that Colin Powell was going to endorse Obama (he had it from an ‘inside source’), and that, well, the race would be OVER then for McCain.
The about face here is startling.
However, Willie does call’em has he see’s ‘em.
Hat tip to Willie on this one. He’s an old pro who recognizes a talented and formidable political opponent and he isn’t afraid to give Palin her due. And he did it with no cheap shots. Is he always this fair-minded?
Broken clock alert.
Well, well ...
That should be fun to hear. I'm not sure I've heard a Democrat actually explain a position in a quarter century. They usually just make some vague statement, and then go on to attack anyone that disagrees (ie, asks them to be more specific) as being a racist (bigot, homophobe, rich white guy, etc...)
May be the first time I've agreed with Willie Brown.
Hey! The Thrilla From Wasilla!
I disagree. She handled it appropriately. She did not dignify the media attacks by responding to them. And she had her daughter with her in a demonstration of mutual love and support.
Sarah shouldn’t be deciding when her daughter gets married. And certainly not for reasons of a political campaign.
She’s a baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad woman!!!!!
"Rope-a-dope is a boxing fighting style used most famously by Muhammad Ali (who coined the term) in the Rumble in the Jungle against George Foreman.
Technique:
The rope a dope is performed by a boxer assuming a protected stance, in Ali's classic pose, lying against the ropes, and allowing their opponent to hit them in the hope that the opponent will become tired and make mistakes which the boxer can exploit in a counter attack.
Rope-a-dope is also commonly used to describe strategies in areas other than boxing, where one party purposely puts itself in what appears to be a losing position, and then becomes the eventual victor."
She must be a disciple of Ali.
the way she said it...brilliant
