I used to be a Ron Paul supporter, but never agreed with his Iraq War stance, part of the reason for that support was due to Paul’s pledge not to go third party.
If he lied about that, then it’s over for Ron Paul.

How would that work if somebody was the candidate for two parties? Do they just combine the vote totals from each party? Or do the parties merge and present one name on the ticket? Talk about the butterfly ballot being confusing, imagine those poor old folks when they see the same guy’s name twice on the same ballot, LOL!

Ron Paul is a crazy old man. Nothin’ wrong with that, but he has no place on the ballot or meddling with the future of this great nation. Anyone who would vote for Paul and throw away a vote and therefore give it to Obama to “prove a point” does not love our country. Those individuals would be more accurately described as Obama-enablers.

Yeah, I don’t care. I bet he gets about less than half a percent of the vote. Big whoop. McCain is going to be ahead by a good 5%.

If Paul does this then he lied when at a debate last year he said he has always endorsed the GOP nominee and implied he would do so again.

The only major announcement Ron Paul could make is how he’s going to return all those bedsheets hanging from overpasses.
To: gondramB
They are trying to meet the magic number so that they qualify for matching government funds in four years. If they get the 8% of the total electorate then I’d bet 3/4 of it comes from the lunatic left.

I disagree. I think you underestimate the libertarian wing in the GOP.
Then again, in the words of that great poet and philosopher William Joel:
You may be wrong,
But for all I know,
You may be right
This libertarian leaning conservative is firmly in McCain’s corner after his nomination of Sarah Palin. Now, if he hadn’t nominated her, it would have been a different story for a lot of us.
