Thanks, but I will soon be deluged with cut-and-paste quotes about how Jefferson was sympathetic to the Shays and Whiskey rebellioneers.
Of course he was, that was his nature.
But he still approved of the plan to use state militias to put down the Whiskey Rebellion if it became violent.
“Hold on, fellas. Remember Jefferson and the tree of liberty? Remember the right to revolution? Remember why we have a Second Ammendment? Remember Red Dawn?
All Paul said was what our history books teach us. Someday, eventually, we may have to take up arms.”
Indeed.
“When in the course of human events...”
Where have I heard that before?
- John
Yet if some whackjob Paul supporter goes out tomorrow and kills a police officer or some other government employee in the name of “reLOVEution”, Ron Paul will disavow his actions and the rest of the Paul supporters will respond: “Ron Paul doesn’t support that! He was misinterpreted! His words were taken out of context! That guys was crazy, but . . . you have to admit that . . . “
: )
If you want to oppose some part of the United States Government with physical force you pretty much have to oppose the whole darn thing. I don’t know about you guys but I ain’t gonna shoot my mailman. I like my mailman. He has done many nice things for me over the years and I think I would rather take a stand against anybody who would mess with my mailman or with a US Marshal or even an ATF agent and certainly a United States soldier or Marine.
Which side of this mess is Ron Paul on? I think the boy is outgunned by his fellow armed citizens, to say nothing of the men and women who get paid to deal with this kind of nonsense.
If this filthy little anti-American nutjob and his kook followers ever do try anything, the American government should put their little rebellion down with extreme prejudice. Any domestic terrorists left standing should be given a traitor’s fate.
If this was a philosophical discussion between two normal humans speculating the future, no problem.
Since it comes from 2 nutjobs and the one nutjob knows that a large number or whack-jobs listen and support him, it’s totally irresponsible.
Jim Robinson called him out as a domestic terrorist last year.
Anyone who hate America so much that they would seek to destroy it should get out. Love it or leave it.
The U.S. Constitution gives Congress the authority to collect income taxes. You’re not one of those nutters who believes the Sixteenth Ammendment was not properly ratified are you?
Pinging the losertarian Paulestinians would be a grand idea.
The King of England allowed the colonials to complain every few years, too.
True, unless "we don't like" becomes "is completely against the Constitution". Just because a law was passed doesn't mean it is right, or constitutional.
Many laws have been duly passed by elected bodies of representatives around the world that should never have been enforced, and in some instances their enforcement has lead our nation and others to hang those who enforced them.
In our nation our primary allegiance must always be to our constitution.
Withholding taxes is more peaceful than than physical.

So what’s wrong with loving it enough to want to change it?
Well, I’m eating some serious crow right now.
Go with doves, they're in season in WI and taste better than crow.
The Jones interview is below. After ranting about Coming police state microwave guns, secret FEMA camps exposed; neocons, Israel, and Nato encircling Russia in the first segment, he gets to the good stuff in part 2.
Agreeing with the MSNBC/Keith Olberman assessment that we're entering a police state, as evidenced by the prison camp in Denver and the nationalization of local police, that it's time to confront the government. And correctly notes that by doing so you're liable to end up in prison, they have the guns, and that the current situation could lead to violence. But that it's better to stand up rather than go into Nazi Germany.
And he's not talking theoretically, rather discussing in a serious manner, a predictable reaction to the government we live under today with a truther radio host.
Straight under the anarchist playbook.
Well Ron did warn you might go to prison for "standing up" to prevent today's America from becoming Nazi Germany. I linked his interview in post 139 in case it's not linked earlier. I'm reading the thread from bottom to top, seems appropriate.
