The people who will vote against Obama based on his race are DEMOCRATS... don’t forget he’ll also get tons of votes just for being black. Whites who think it is fashionable, and he’ll get more than the usual 90% black vote for a Democrat, maybe 95% this time.
Still, Rendell made it clear during the primary that Obama cannot win in PA. This may not show up in polls, but it seems to be showing up in anecdotal evidence, like this report or in having Biden campaign there.

Look, I don’t live in Wonderland. There are Republicans and Democrats who will vote against him because of his race. Not most or even many but a small percentage will do just that. Of course many more will vote for Obama because he is black. It’s just the way things are.
I can’t wait to hear Obama explain to those autoworkers losing their jobs about the nice Toyota Prius he has in his garage.
If Osama can’t win Pennsylvania, it is all over. I see McCain/Palin getting close to 400 electoral votes.
A few months ago, I couldn’t find a lot of people in PA who were looking forward to voting for Obama. It was all Hillary. But they are Democrats and now there is more support expressed for BHO.
Still, McCain should win easily.
Just not in Philadelphia.
