Yesterday Not WRIGHT for America questioned the impartiality of Hollis French, the liberal Democrat lawyer/state senator who is in charge of the legislative "inquiry" (read: witch hunt) into whether Governor Palin abused her power by pressuring her Public Safety Commissioner to fire a state trooper who was in a custody dispute with Palin's sister.
Today we get confirmation that we were right to question Hollis French. ABC News quotes him talking about the final report of the ethics committee, which is not even due out until October 31: "It's likely to be damaging to the Governor" and "She [Palin] has a credibility problem."
Talk about putting the execution before the trial! This man is supposed to be conducting an investigation in a fair manner, and he blurts that out. And it's not as if the investigation is over--it is still very much in progress, and the committee has not even heard Governor Palin's side of the story yet. This would be like the jury telling the defendant before the trial that the verdict was "likely to be damaging" to the defendant.
Not exactly impartiality, and the one with the credibility problem is French, not Palin.
It sounds as if Grand Inquisitor French is auditioning for a job in the Obama administration. Either that or he is seeking the position vacated by disgraced North Carolina prosecutor Mike Nifong.
Hollis French: Have you now or ever taken money from GEORGE SOROS??
They are using, IMHO, HRC and other Democratic women to put O in the office by sending them out to win over the “women's vote”. As a Democratic woman I would take this as an insult to my integrity and abilities. The Obama Camp wouldn't even vet HRC and now when they need her she's one of them?
Do they think that we Americans are dumber and dumber?
Their actions need to be shown for what they are WASHINGTON POLITICS AS USUAL....NO CHANGE HERE!
this only plays to the hate America first crowd,
Date/Place of Birth:

explains a lot
I say that we need to open an investigation to investigate Hollis to see if he is impartial enought to be the investigator. We need someone who is impartial and unbiased. Uhmm......
Thank you freepers for your vote of confidence.
I will be fair and unbiased, however, I feel like the investigaton of Hollis will be damaging to his political career. I feel this so strongly that maybe it would be better if he would just resign.
There now, can you beat that for fair and unbiased?
Well,.... at least it is better than the Democrats and the MSM.
Hollis, you dope, it’s supposed to be an October “surprise.”
Is the legislature in AK run by Dems? I thought it was a heavily Republican state.
I believe that the final report will now be released on October 10th.
re: Hollis French
This piece of lib excrement needs to be investigated himself.....or at least aggressively challenged with a complete public examination...... here he’s already stated (in broad terms) what he expects the outcome of an investigation to be. This is Ronnie Earle and Mike Liefong territory all over again.
The left is clearly supportive of domestic violence.
The trooper punished for threatening the lives of the Palin family and tasered the 10 year old is now a hero to the left.
How did he ever get selected to lead this? And who else is on this committee? Is it fair and balanced?
THE state used to be solid R - with a few Dems thrown in
Frank Mer-cow-ski was such a dunce as Gov, that
A) he came in thrid in his own parties primary (Sara broke her boot off in his ass)
B) got several more Dems elected and not the state senate is run by a coalition of R + D - not bad, but not all that good either.
THE single House seet may be taken by a Dem (replacing the ever popular Don Young) and The Ted is facing a fight for his life, so one of the Senate seats may go to a Dem.
The DEM party is pouring money like crazy into the state for campains - the radio sounds like Seattle or SanFran without the good misic.
THe ‘old time’ Alaskans are being replaced by folks from Outside - with Outside attitudes. Someone who lived say - in Anchorage in 1960 would NOT recongnize the place (politics and attitudes) as thier hometown
Thanks for the info. Sounds like what the GOP did to Congress, by losing its way.
Coghill wants French to step aside in Troopergate investigation
Fairbanks Daily News-Miner (AK) - September 5, 2008
Author: Rebecca George
FAIRBANKS — Rep. John Coghill wants Sen. Hollis French to step down from the legislative council that is investigating Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s firing of Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan.
After reading several comments from French on an ABCNews.com article regarding the investigation, Coghill on Friday wrote a letter to Sen. Kim Elton, chairman of the Legislative Council, asking the council to discuss the recent comments made, which Coghill found to be inflammatory remarks about the investigation.
French was quoted on Sept. 2 as saying the legislative council was going to be an October Surprise and likely to be damaging to the administration.
French told ABCNews.com that the governor had a credibility problem. He further stated If they had done their job they never would have picked her.
The investigation could have national implications, since Palin is Sen. John McCain’s running mate on the Republican presidential ticket.

Alaska State Senator Hollis French Wants To Force You To Spend Your Money On His Universal Health Care Plan
Senator French also wants to redistribute Medicaid coverage in a couple of ways. First, he wants to expand eligibility rules for children and adults and tack on additional dental and vision coverage. Second, he wants to switch from reimbursing hospitals with Medicaid benefits to simply using those funds to provide subsidized insurance for the uninsured. In short: Take the money spent on hospital bills each year for the uninsured, and buy health insurance instead.
requiring all businesses, regardless of size, to either provide health insurance or contribute to a subsidization fund could jeopardize the existence of many small businesses. French proposes that small businesses be required to pay 4% of workers’ wages to a “subsidization” fund. What if the business’s profit margin is only 4%? In effect, French has just transformed a profitable business into a non-profit charity. Combine that with proposed hikes in the minimal wage, and one can see a noticeable number of business failures. Or, a business may comply and not fail, but compensate by cutting back a worker’s weekly hours.
The fatal flaw in French’s proposal is to require that all people purchase health insurance. This is another unfunded mandate imposed on the people.

Greetings,
Please take a moment today to thank Senator Hollis French our pro-choice champion!
It was an intense legislative session in Juneau. We battled two bills, House Bill 301 and House Bill 364, that would have had disastrous affects on the state of reproductive health in Alaska.
Thanks to our champion, Senator Hollis French, we were able to stop these bad bills in the Senate.

For background on this ever updating story, see Trooper’Gate: beating the MSM to the truth” and Left falsely accuses Palin of “refusing to testify”
As the Obama supporters blanket the Internet with bits and pieces of suggested scandal to combat America’s enthusiams for Sarah Palin, the fuel is Trooper’gate for the most misinformation and, more importantly, mischaracterizations.
The accusers were off and running on a legislative investigation with endlessly morphing charges in the media, and an undetermined, unnamed group of suspects. They had witness interviews scheduled, and a planned date for the release of their findings... Oct 31, ... four days before the Presidential election. Obviously a target date with deliberate political ramifications.
