ABOARD THE USS MOUNT WHITNEY (AP) The flagship of the U.S. Navy's Mediterranean fleet has delivered 17 tons of humanitarian aid to a strategic Georgian port and Russian troops have been watching every move.

Has Russia ever really left Georgia? I don’t recall reading that. I do remember lots of stories about how there were going to go, but not that they had left.
The Georgians need a couple of humanitarian A-10’s
There are still thousands of Russian troops in South Ossetia (which Russia no longer sees as part of Georgia) but there are also Russian checkpoints outside of that region like outside the port of Poti.
If they are watching us to see if we give the Georgians weapons, then we ought to fly weapons in. We need to equip the Georgians with anti-tank weapons and anti-aircraft missiles, SAMs, etc.
Poti! I take it the Russians have moved out? Or were they still there, glaring from the sidelines?
