You’re right. I never thought about it because with a tragedy like this — losing a wife and a baby daughter — you don’t expect the surviving husband to embellish the story. (Notice he waited until after the driver died.) What young mother would be going out for a Christmas tree with a three year old, a two year old, and a baby, but without her husband?

Maybe nobody told him the truth and his mind filled in the blanks?

>>It is totally beyond belief that the police in a small state would not provide an exhaustive report to Biden on an accident that killed half the family of the newly elected US Senator.<<

You, obviously, have never dealt with the “police forces” in Delaware. These are the dropouts and failures from clown school. They could no more file an “exhaustive report” than you or I could see a pig fly. But can they speeding tickets and eat doughnuts!

I know all too well. My son was killed in an automobile accident five years ago and the explanation of what happened defied all the laws of physics. Answer:”Oh, we see that all the time”.

Is there someplace we can read the facts concerning the accident. Just the basic facts, who was driving what, who was where, how did the accident happen. I know it’s not easy, or fair, to judge an accident 30 years later, based on a police accident report or news account, but I would like know the details.

strange how he is now a change agent even though his life in DC started while John McCain was still a POW.

Wow! That is a simple, powerful statement that brings it home. And there's no denying it. I hope the campaign leaders are loading that bazooka in Sarah Palin's moose gun for just the right moment.

I guess Biden and Nobama deserve each other. They’re a perfect fit, but not for the rest of the country! I think more and more are waking up to what frauds they are.

The accident is an unspeakable tragedy. Having Lost my father and my sister before adulthood, I can certainly feel for Joe Biden. But if he is going to embelish this tragedy or bring it up for political gain, he has a real problem.

What fascinates me is that the Democrat party has progressively (no pun intended) chosen more marginal candidates every election cycle since Clinton. It’s like a fever that won’t burn out.

I was just about to post this story, after seeing a reference to it on Little Green Footballs (a poster there wrote that this story is circulating around trucking forums). The story didn't show up when I did a search with "It Ain't So, Joe" but I saw this after I did a search with the keyword "Biden".

It's actually too bad that the truck driver is dead. If he was alive he could sue Biden for slander.

I've also got to agree with the poster who noted how the Democrat candidates are getting weirder and weirder. I think that the last even remotely normal person the Dems ran for Prez or Veep was Lloyd Bentsen, and I'm not too sure about him.
