Yep! Just felt it. 4.1 according to the USGS.

It's an early number, probably will change. It was 4.2 a couple minutes ago.

Damned Chinese doing synchronized jumping jack exercises again. Not much point now, what with the Olympics all done with.

My cat freaked out for a couple of minutes. My birds - ringneck doves - are alert, but calm.

Nah... I just heard that someone mentioned Sarah Palin to Barak Obama and he shook so hard that the tremors were felt all the way out west.

Hmmm. If they were, they would likely be underweight as well, and so it would register lower on the richter scale. You might well think that the deficit could be made up for by simply increasing the number of underage Chinese gymnasts doing jumping jacks, but you’re forgetting the inevitable consequences of the Chinese “one child” policy. Something far more devious must account for this. Rather interesting.

With the media frenzy, we might have to change that to "Palin's fault!"

Whole house shook...windows were rattling and all the hanging light fixtures were swinging! I’ve lived in the Alamo/Danville area most of my life...lived through a lot of quakes. This one felt very strong!

Felt nothing here in Sacramento.

(Of course, it is a little unusual to have the tide come in this far.)
