Sammy Wilson's view on climate change has angered environmentalists
The Environment Minister Sammy Wilson has angered green campaigners by describing their view on climate change as a "hysterical psuedo-religion".
In an article in the News Letter, Mr Wilson said he believed it occurred naturally and was not man-made.
"Resources should be used to adapt to the consequences of climate change, rather than King Canute-style vainly trying to stop it," said the minister.
Peter Doran of the Green Party said it was a "deeply irresponsible message."
Mr Wilson said he refused to "blindly accept" the need to make significant changes to the economy to stop climate change.
"The tactic used by the "green gang" is to label anyone who dares disagree with their view of climate change as some kind of nutcase who denies scientific fact," he said.

More and more people, gathering in the finest circles, are recognizing CRAP (CLIMATE RELATED ADVOCACY POLITICS)as dangerously overprevalent and legitimized sans adequate vetting.
People prefer fiction rather than truth.
It should be spelt "pseudo-religion."
Did you find the one yesterday abuot the kayakers” getting stuck in freezing ice at about 80 north latitude?
(They believed their own propaganda about being able to paddle to the north pole ...)
It is NOT a religion, and heretics who say otherwise should be burned at the stake!

Yeah, good trade. He is so bad that even his Labor party doesn’t want him talking the environment and put Penny Wong as Minister of Climate Change.
It is very easy to debunk the claim that it is “scientific fact” that man is causing “global warming”. All that is required is to refer to the following fundamental principle of science -
“ONLY EXPERIMENTAL DATA HAS THE POWER TO SHOW CAUSE.”
This is the basis of the scientific method and is not debatable.
Note that climatologists have NO EXPERIMENTAL DATA and will not have any anytime soon. Without experimental data, no reasonable conclusion can be obtained.
In order to produce experimental data on the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere, the experiment would have to be performed at the same scale as the Earth’s atmosphere! Obviously that’s not going to happen.
Global Warming proponents have only observational data. A corollary to the above states:
“OBSERVATIONAL DATA CAN NEVER BE USED TO SHOW CAUSE, ONLY ASSOCIATION.”
I wonder how many “global warming” advocates know the difference between “cause” and “association”? The difference is of course vast.
As a scientist I have examined the theories and methods used by global warming proponents. It is nothing short of appalling to see their “scientific work”.
The principles which you rightly reassert apply equally to all sides of this debate, and certainty is thus equally suspect whether expressed by proponents or by deniers.
