So he tried again. “Even if I want to take them away, I don’t have the votes in Congress,’’

Clearly he does not understand the true problem, which is the 2nd amendment is a fundamental right.

It offends me highly to think any POTUS, Congress critter or anyone else can take away that right.

I wonder if Obama would be concerned if the pedophile who lived down the street come over to let him and Michelle know, he is reformed and would never think of harming his children.

Some thing applies to reformed gun grabbers, they don't change their spots.

Once a political gun grabber always a gun grabber

he said. “This can’t be the reason not to vote for me.

It's quite humorous he thinks being suspect on gun control is the reason he can't get a vote and telling someone I'm only taking away your fundamental right from some of the people is O.K.

Excellent point. Any politician worth his salt would instinctively refer to the sanctity of the 2nd amendment, not to the lack of votes in Congress. This shows not only a lack of respect for the Constitution but a fundamental arrogance that believes that a majority in Congress can nullify a constitutional right.
