Less than 4,000 US forces have been killed AT THE HANDS OF THE ENEMY, in Iraq, in this same time frame. The mainstream media ALWAYS reports all of the deaths, which include accidental fatalities unrelated to combat. The accidental fatalities include, but are not limited to; death by accidental weapon discharges, electrocutions, falls, heart attacks, vehicular accidents, suicides, etc.
At one time, more US forces were killed in motorcycle accidents annually, than had been killed in Afghanistan.
